  • Four new leases signed at Festival at Woodholme

    Baltimore -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers announced that it it has leased 10,774 sq. ft. of retail space to four new tenants at Festival at Woodholme, located in Baltimore.

  • Bon-Ton real estate strategy includes two store closings in Pa., Ohio

    York, Pa. -- As part of a real estate realignment strategy, The Bon-Ton Stores Inc. on Tuesday said it will close two of its department stores, one in Pennsylvania and the other in Ohio, when their leases expire in early 2012.

    The company said it plans to close its store in the West Manchester Mall in York, Pa., in January, and its Elder-Beerman store in the Northwest Mall in Dayton, Ohio, which will shut down in February.

  • Flying Cupcake to open at Rivers Edge Shopping Center

    Indianapolis -- Kite Realty Group said that The Flying Cupcake has leased 856 sq. ft. at Rivers Edge Shopping Center, located in Indianapolis.

    Rivers Edge, recently renovated, is anchored by Nordstrom Rack, Buy Buy Baby, The Container Store, Harry & Izzy’s and soon Arhaus Furniture. The total GLA is 152,575 sq. ft.

  • Shoe Show to open at Victory Square

    Savannah, Ga. -- Brixmor Property Group announced Tuesday a 4,800-sq.-ft. lease has been executed with Shoe Show at Victory Square, located in Savannah, Ga.

    Brixmor, based in New York City, is the owner of Victory Square.
     

  • SRS Real Estate names marketing personnel

    Dallas -- SRS Real Estate Partners has announced the hiring of Caroline Hurley as a senior marketing coordinator in the Dallas/Ft. Worth office.

    Hurley will be responsible for executing national marketing strategies at the local level including branding, lead generation initiatives, communications and public relations, digital marketing and providing broker support. 

  • Pet Supplies “Plus” names real estate exec

    Farmington Hills, Mich. -- Pet Supplies “Plus” said Tuesday that Donna Capichano Simmons has joined the company as senior VP real estate.

    Capichano Simmons, who was previously VP real estate development for Kohl’s, is charged with refining and implementing PSP’s real estate growth strategy.
     

  • Kroger to make record investment in new Virginia store

    Richmond, Va. -- Charlotte, N.C.-based Crosland Southeast said it broke ground Friday on Richmond MSA’s newest multi-use development, Stonebridge, which will occupy the site of the former Cloverleaf Mall in Chesterfield County, Va.

    The first phase of Stonebridge includes the construction of 144,000-sq.-ft. of retail space – most notably, a 123,600-sq.-ft. Kroger Marketplace grocery store that will be the region’s largest and the company’s most expensive to date.  

  • C. Wonder makes retail debut

    New York City -- A new concept, C. Wonder, has made its retail debut, opening a 5,000-sq.-ft. store in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood. The company is on track to open three mall  locations this fall: Garden State Plaza, Paramus, N.J.; The Westchester Mall, White Plains, N.Y.; and Roosevelt Field, Garden City, N.J.  An additional 20 locations are planned for 2010, according to various reports.
