  • Elite Game Speed opens in South Tampa

    Tampa, Fla. -- Tampa, Fla.-based RMC Property Management Group announced that athlete training facility Elite Game Speed has opened a 9,000-sq.-ft. facility in South Tampa, Fla.

    The space was previously occupied by Creative Loafing, and its new use as a state-of-the-art training facility for amateur and professional athletes by Elite Game Speed will serve as the largest indoor training facility of its kind in Tampa. The facility opened on Nov. 30.

  • Grubb & Ellis bolsters lease administration capabilities

    Santa Ana, Calif. -- Grubb & Ellis Co. announced that Susan E. Calvert and Joe I. Munoz have joined the company’s Lease Administration group.

    Calvert, who joins as manager, Lease Administration, spent two years as a real estate administrator with SRS Real Estate Partners, where she was responsible for commercial portfolios spanning approximately 350 locations. Munoz, who will also serve on the lease administration team, spent seven years with SRS Real Estate Partners, ultimately rising to the position of lead real estate administrator. 

  • Survey: Increased focus on real estate for retailers in 2011

    Chicago -- Jones Lang LaSalle, in a survey released Thursday, found that protecting and building the brand and driving responsible growth are the chief priorities of major retailers for 2011.

    The survey, conducted by Jones Lang LaSalle at its recent Retail Executive Forum event, also revealed that the retail industry is placing increasing importance on the value of real estate as a key component of its business and brand strategies for next year.

  • Hodgdon-Miank completes Phase I renovation of Pierside Pavilion

    Huntington Beach, Calif. -- Colton, Calif.-based Hodgdon-Miank Construction announced that it has completed the first phase of a major renovation of the Pierside Pavilion, a four-level mixed-use complex located in downtown Huntington Beach, Calif.

    The $2 million renovation converted a former Mann 6 Theatre into 33,049 sq. ft. of multi-use Class A office and restaurant space. Phase II will include an office upgrade and the addition of a live entertainment venue.

  • Three new tenants open at Commons at Town Center

    Boca Raton, Fla. -- Woolbright Development announced that the following three stores have recently signed leases at The Commons at Town Center in Boca Raton, Fla., and are now open for business.

    Plato’s Closet occupies 3,000 sq .ft., Prime Cigar & Wine Bar occupies 2,335 sq. ft., and Jamie’s Boutique, which sells high-end women's contemporary and denim apparel, occupies 1,235 sq. ft.

    The 117,921-sq.-ft. Commons at Town Center is anchored by Barbara Katz, TooJays and Moe's Southwest Grill.

  • Harrisburg Mall sees retail reinvention

    Atlanta -- Atlanta-based Jones Lang LaSalle said it has added local playhouse theatre company Broadway Classics Productions to Harrisburg Mall.

    Located in a former anchor store situated off of Center Court, Broadway Classics Productions opened on Nov. 19.

    The theater expects 200 to 300 people per show, with three to four shows per week.

  • Qdoba to open two new restaurants in Pennsylvania

    Philadelphia -- Michael Salove Co., an X Team partner based in Center City Philadelphia, announced that it has completed two lease transactions in the Greater Philadelphia market with Qdoba Mexican Grill.

    Qdoba will open a 2,600-sq.-ft. unit in Providence Town Center in Collegeville, Pa. and will open a 2,300-sq.-ft. unit in Wynnewood Square in Wynnewood, Pa.

  • Golf Galaxy opens at Burlington Square

    Burlington, Mass. -- Centro Properties Group announced that Golf Galaxy has opened a 15,200-sq.-ft. store at Burlington Square, located in Burlington, Mass.

    New York City-based Centro Properties Group is the owner of Burlington Square.
