Hungry Howie’s, Sports Clips to open in Connecticut

6/22/2010

Stamford, Conn. RHYS Commercial said it has signed two national franchises, including Connecticut’s first Hungry Howie’s restaurant, to well-trafficked retail spaces in Fairfield and New Haven counties, as the company continues to introduce new retail concepts to the marketplace.

Pizza chain Hungry Howie’s leased a 2,000-sq.-ft. space in Orange, Conn., at Post Plaza shopping center. The franchise currently operates 575 locations in 24 states.

Sport Clips leased 1,275 sq. ft. in Fairfield for its second Connecticut shop.

“We have seen an increase in entrepreneurial franchisors who are taking advantage of vacancies in prime shopping centers to break into the Connecticut market.  We are extremely excited that several national franchise retailers are targeting our market for expansions,” said Cory R. Gubner, president and CEO of RHYS Commercial.
