Hot Topic to open in Canada

Toronto Hot Topic will open stores in Canada, according to a report by the Financial Post. The 681-store chain will open stores on Aug. 11 at Scarborough Town Centre and at Square One in Mississauga.

Hot Topic marketing manager Carter Thorson told the Post that the company would soon be releasing more specifics about its Canadian expansion plans.

The stores in Canada mark the chain’s first two international outlets.
