Raymour & Flanigan has more than 150 locations across eight states.

Raymour & Flanigan plans to open more locations in a key market.

Building on strong performance at its existing Greater Boston-area showrooms, the furniture and mattress retailer said it plans to expand further across the region. It will open a 75,000-sq.-ft. store in Danvers, Mass., and a 105,000-sq.-ft. location in Nashua, N.H., with both expected to open in late 2027.

The expansion follows encouraging results at the retailer’s Massachusetts showrooms in Millbury, Somerville and Natick. The locations are performing above expectations, according to Raymour & Flanigan.

“Greater Boston is an important market for Raymour & Flanigan, and we’re investing in the people, locations and infrastructure to support our long-term growth here,” said Seth Goldberg, president of Raymour & Flanigan. “The results we’re seeing give us confidence to deepen that investment. With delivery capacity already in place, we can expand our showroom presence while supporting the service customers expect from us.”

The retailer is also actively exploring additional opportunities in the Boston area that could result in another three to five locations, according to a report by Furniture Today.

The company noted that it is operating a Boston-area delivery facility, providing the distribution capacity to support its current showrooms and planned expansion. The facility supports the company’s ability to deliver eligible purchases in three days or less.

Raymour & Flanigan has also been expanding in new markets. In May, it opened its first location in Maryland, a 54,000-sq.-ft. store at the Shoppes of Nottingham Square in White Marsh.

As the company expands, it's rolling out its updated design, which includes immersive entertainment galleries and expansive “sleep centers” for its mattress offerings.

“We’re continuing to invest in our store experience,” Goldberg told Furniture Today. "It’s all an effort to create an appealing and inviting experience for today’s consumers.”

Founded in Syracuse, N.Y. in 1947, family-owned Raymour & Flanigan has more than 150 locations across eight states. It is the largest furniture and mattress retailer in the Northeastern U.S.
