Wayfair adds second New Jersey store to growth plans
Digitally-native home furnishings retailer Wayfair is doubling down on its brick-and-mortar expansion strategy in the Garden State.
The company says it will open a new large-format store at Market Place at Garden State Park in Cherry Hill, N.J. The approximately 86,000-sq.-ft. single-level location is expected to open in late 2028, and will be Wayfair’s 11th store.
The store will serve customers across southern New Jersey and the greater Philadelphia region, giving customers an in-person opportunity to explore the brand's home decor and furniture assortment. Customers will also be able to browse Wayfair Verified items, take advantage of Wayfair’s free design services and get help on home projects, big or small, with many items available to purchase and take home.
At the 550,000-sq.-ft. Market Place at Garden State Park, Wayfair will join a roster of tenants that includes Best Buy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Home Depot, Wegmans and more.
Wayfair’s Cherry Hill location will mark its second physical location in the state. In June, the company announced plans to open a 135,000-sq.-ft. store at Nassau Park Pavilion, a 760,000-sq.-ft. retail center in Princeton, N.J., which is expected to open in 2027.
The New Jersey stores are just one part of Wayfair’s brick-and-mortar ambitions. The brand has stores open in Wilmette, Ill., Atlanta, and Columbus, Ohio, as well as upcoming stores in Denver, Westchester, N.Y., Fort Lauderdale and Altamonte Springs, Fla., Cincinnati, Ohio, and Pittsburgh, Pa.
