Pacsun, Camping World, & Lush deliver via Uber
Uber Technologies Inc. is adding three new non-food-oriented retailers to its delivery platform.
Youth apparel retailer Pacsun, recreational vehicle and products retailer Camping World, and cosmetics brand Lush are all now offering online delivery from hundreds of stores via the Uber, Uber Eats and Postmates apps.
These new delivery partnerships are steps in Uber’s ongoing expansion into retail delivery categories, including sporting goods, beauty and lifestyle, beyond grocery and takeout meals. Since the start of the year, Uber says it has added more than 1,000 new retailers around the world, and more than 50,000 retail locations across the U.S.
Other recent non-food additions to the platform include Hibbett, DSW, Sephora and Best Buy. Uber One paid loyalty members will receive $0 delivery fees on eligible retail orders.
“As we expand retail delivery across Uber and Uber Eats, we’re making it easier than ever for customers to discover and shop the brands they love — all in one place — while also demonstrating our ability to support an increasingly diverse range of retail partners,” said Hashim Amin, head of retail for North America at Uber. “From fashion at PacSun to outdoor gear at Camping World and self-care favorites at Lush, Uber is becoming a seamless shopping destination for whatever customers need, whenever they need it.”
How it works
- Customers open the Uber Eats app and tap “Retail” or the Uber app and tap “Shops.”
- Customers then select their local PacSun, Camping World, or Lush store.
- Shoppers can browse available products and add items to their cart.
- On-demand or scheduled delivery options are available for selection.
- Real-time order tracking is available as orders are delivered to the customer’s door.
Pacsun has been offering same-day delivery in partnership with delivery orchestration provider Delivery Solutions, as well as via Amazon. DoorDash, which has also been expanding its scope of delivery partners beyond grocery and takeout into other retailer verticals, provides same-day delivery for Camping World and Lush.
