Pacsun introduces same-day delivery in time for holidays

Pacsun is joining the ranks of retailers offering same-day delivery.

The teen apparel retailer is teaming up with delivery orchestration provider Delivery Solutions to launch same-day delivery in 40 stores across 10 major U.S. markets, providing customers with access to same-day delivery providers like Uber and DoorDash. The Delivery Solutions platform manages the same-day delivery process, from pre-order to post-purchase, for Pacsun online shoppers.

Same-day fulfillment of online orders is available from select PacSun stores in cities including Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, Seattle, D.C., Houston, Dallas, Phoenix, Miami, and Philadelphia. Though not all items will qualify for same-day delivery, customers can find eligible options on the product details page online by adding their address.

When inventory is available at an online customer’s closest participating retail location, the same-day delivery option will be presented at checkout for a $12 fee. The service will apply for orders placed by 3 p.m. local time, and items will be delivered no later than 9 p.m. local time the same day. 

Pacsun has been rolling out omnichannel promotional initiatives for the 2021 holiday season. The retailer’s Holiday 2021 campaign extends across multiple digital channels, including a dedicated Instagram filter, holiday Snapchat Lens, and TikTok challenge to promote seasonal digital experiences.

As part of its digital holiday promotion, Pacsun will release its second storefront holiday Snapchat Lens. The Lens showcases the retailer's seasonal promotions, and also creates shoppable moments for consumers, focusing on denim, graphics and fleece.

Pacsun will also continue to offer special promotions to cryptocurrency users. Ads on Snapchat, unique user displays online, and paid search efforts will be utilized as part of this cryptocurrency promotional platform. In addition, the company is hosting weekly livestream shopping events to showcase curated collections of gifts at their retail locations nationwide.
