  • Sam’s Club to carry select GNC products

    Pittsburgh -- General Nutrition Centers said Tuesday that Sam's Club will start selling a few of its products this month.

    About 400 Sam's Club locations will start by selling two products, a 2-pound container of GNC Pro Performance whey protein for $18.09 and a 1.7-pound bottle of GNC Total LeanT Lean ShakeT for $22.98. Sam's Club will rotate other products onto shelves throughout the year.

    GNC said it will work with Sam's Club to develop products specific to Sam's Club members.

  • Kenneth Cole CEO out

    New York City -- Jill Granoff, chief executive of Kenneth Cole Productions, announced her resignation on Monday, effective immediately. She had company for three years.

    In a statement, the company described the decision to find a new CEO as "mutual."

    Kenneth Cole, who founded the firm in 1982, will take on Granoff’s duties temporarily as the search for a new CEO begins.

  • White House/Black Market names VP

    Fort Myers, Fla. -- White House|Black Market, a division of Chico's FAS announced that Liz Edmiston has been named senior VP, general merchandise manager for White House|Black Market, effective Feb. 28.

    Edmiston joins White House|Black Market from Tory Burch, where she served as VP merchandising. She has also served as VP merchandising for Victoria's Secret.
     

  • Conn’s president and CEO steps down

    Beaumont, Texas -- Electronics and appliances retailer Conns announced Monday that its president and CEO Timothy L. Frank has resigned the company.

    Conns named Theodore M. Wright as the interim CEO and president, and has launched a search for a permanent replacement.

    Frank has led the company as president and CEO since June 2009; he has been president since April 2006, and previously served as COO and senior VP retail.

    Frank left to pursue other opportunities, the company said.

  • Walgreens senior health exec to retire

    Deerfield, Ill. -- Walgreen Co. said Friday that Hal F. Rosenbluth, president of the drug retailer’s health-and-wellness division, will retire in April. He will, however, stay on as a senior consultant to the CEO for healthcare services.

    Rosenbluth was a co-founder of Take Care Health Systems, which was acquired by Walgreens in 2007.

  • Nike and HireVue team to roll out campus recruiting program

    Salt Lake City -- Video interviewing solution-provider HireVue said Thursday that Nike has selected it to support its campus recruiting program, adding HireVue’s video interviewing platform to Nike’s recruiting process.

  • Lyftogt named as Christopher & Banks senior VP, CFO

    Minneapolis -- Christopher & Banks Corp. said Thursday that it has named Michael Lyftogt to the position of senior VP and CFO.

    Lyftogt, a 12-year veteran of the company, has worked in a variety of financial roles including chief accounting officer and VP finance and has served as interim CFO since July 2010.

  • PlayNetwork expands with U.K.-based branch

    Redmond, Wash. -- PlayNetwork said Thursday it has launched into the European market and acquired Absolute Audio Systems Ltd., a U.K.-based provider of commercial media products and A/V systems integration services across Europe.
