  • Maybelline taps Yadim as global makeup artist

    Maybelline New York has named Yadim Carranza, known simply as Yadim, as the brand's global makeup artist. Yadim is lauded for his innovative editorial work and bold runway looks.  

    In his new role, Yadim will provide artistic vision for Maybelline New York makeup and become the voice of the brand to consumers, press and industry influencers.

  • Kellogg releases Spider-Man game app

    One may not immediately associate Kellogg with game apps, but the breakfast cereal brand is releasing a web-slinging game app to mark the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie.

    Consumers can also enter a giveaway and a new Kellogg sweepstakes with Sony for a chance to win more than 1,000 prizes, including a free trip for two to New York.

    "Spider-Man fans are gearing up for the film and we're casting a web of fun that everyone can enjoy," says Melissa Pawlowicz, senior director of integrated promotions at Kellogg.

  • Cybera names finance VP

    Nashville, Tenn. - Cybera Inc., has hired Jeremy Landa as it new senior VP of finance Jeremy Landa. Landa will be part of Cybera’s executive team, responsible for providing strategic financial leadership to support the company’s growth and expansion.

    Prior to joining Cybera, Landa served as CFO of Simplex Healthcare. During his career, Landa also oversaw the corporate strategic planning process for Gaylord Entertainment.

    New product introductions aren’t what they used to be as evidenced by Doritos “Bold Flavor Experiment” involving mysterious variants of the spicy chips.

    The Frito-Lay division of PepsiCo this week is introducing three new flavors of the Doritos Jacked brand to the snack food but not telling shoppers what they are called. The unconventional approach to generating trial also involves a unique contest element to encourage shoppers to digitally engage with the brand.

  • Domino’s accepts Google Wallet payments

    Ann Arbor, Mich. - Domino's Pizza is integrating Google Wallet with its Android ordering app. Domino's customers who have an Android device can now pay for their online orders using Google's digital wallet.

    Domino's customers who place an online order of $10 or more using the Android ordering app and pay by selecting the "Buy with Google" button at checkout will receive a free order of Domino's new specialty chicken, now through June 15.

  • Whole Foods Market named best brand on Pinterest

    Austin, Texas -- Whole Foods Market claimed the honor for best brand on Pinterest at the Shorty (the Shorties) Awards on April 7. The Shorties are an annual awards event that honors the best short-form content creators on Twitter and on other social media sites.

    Whole Foods Market joined Pinterest in 2011, and currently has 180,000 followers.

  • Walmart joins Amex prepaid Serve network

    American Express added Walmart’s U.S. network of 4,100 stores as locations where customers can participate in the card issuers prepaid Serve offering.

  • Office Depot’s digital campaign celebrates teachers

    Office Depot has launched a digital campaign called “Teachers Change Lives. So Can You” to help raise awareness and funds for classroom supplies for teachers.

    As a thank you to these educators, Office Depot has partnered with AdoptAClassroom.org, a national organization dedicated to collecting and distributing funds to teachers, who in many cases use their own money to purchase classroom supplies to ensure each student has the tools to succeed.
