  • Target testing Curbside’s store pickup model

    Ten Target stores in the San Francisco area are experimenting with a new mobile shopping app called Curbside, which promises to deliver the next generation of commerce.

    Curbside launched its mobile app this week to make finding, buying and getting the things shoppers need from their favorite local stores faster and easier than ever before, according to the company. Target is among the retailers whose stores are participating in the Curbside app.

  • Lumber Liquidators unveils sustainability website

    Just a couple of days after elevating Ray Cotton to SVP, chief compliance and sustainability officer, Lumber Liquidators has launched a new section of its website dedicated to sustainability.

    The original content is rooted in the company's "Lay It Forward" business strategy, which according to the company, centers on the long-term benefits of quality hardwood flooring, protecting the environment and supporting the communities it serves.

  • Krispy Kreme on hunt for new CFO

    Winston-Salem, N.C. -- Krispy Kreme Doughnuts announced CFO Douglas R. Muir intends to retire in calendar year 2015. The chain will conduct a comprehensive search to identify his successor. Muir is expected to remain in his current role until his successor is in place and to provide ongoing support during the transition.

    Los Angeles - DinCloud, a cloud services provider that helps businesses migrate to the cloud through business provisioning, has released customized cloud services for the retail industry including hosted virtual desktops. Store owners and employees from traditional brick-and-mortar or online retailers can use the desktops to manage store operations remotely from any device including a desktop, laptop, or tablet.

  • Crock-Pot looks to capitalize on selfies for social media contest

    Now in its fourth consecutive year, the Crock-Pot brand’s Ultimate Crock-Pot Crock-Star contest has kicked off with a twist. The brand hopes to capitalize on America’s selfie obsession.

    This year’s nationwide search for the most inspiring slow-cooker superstar requires aspiring “Crock-Stars” to create a one-minute “video selfie” prepping an original recipe with a Crock-Pot Slow Cooker for a chance at “crock-stardom.”

  • Survey: Marketers see customer satisfaction as primary IT driver

    Dayton, Ohio - Nearly two-thirds (62%) of 400 digital marketers surveyed view improving customer satisfaction as the top reason to invest more in technology. Becoming more customer-centric is a top-two priority for 49% of respondent organizations.
