Stride offers girls the royal treatment
LEXINGTON, Mass. — Stride Rite is giving young girls the ultimate fairy tale experience with special in-store Cinderella shoe fittings and the chance to win a hometown screening of a Disney fairy tale.
Caregivers can bring their girls to their local Stride Rite store where they will be addressed as "princess" as the specially trained store associates work with them to find the perfectly sized "glass slipper" using the Stride Rite Fit Training process -- the only program to receive the American Podiatric Medical Association's (APMA) Seal of Acceptance.
Young princesses can then choose their new pair of shoes from the Stride Rite for Disney Princess collection, which includes a glamorous Cinderella cozy boot, a sparkling Cinderella flat and a Cinderella sneaker with magical lights, all complete with loads of princess-worthy sparkle, glamour and shine. To cherish this "crowning achievement," with the purchase of any shoe from the collection, princess shoppers will also receive a "Certificate of the Perfect Fit" designed by Disney.
"At Stride Rite, we are committed to providing every child with shoes that fit properly," said Sharon John, Stride Rite Children's group president. "By bringing this fit-for-a-princess experience to life in our stores, our goal is to make girls feel special, while emphasizing the importance of the 'rite fit' for children and adding a little magic to our expert measuring and fitting process."
The Stride Rite for Disney Princess collection will also be available online at www.striderite.com/disneyprincess. In addition to the shoes, the website will feature downloadable activity and coloring sheets, as well as a peek at the trailer for Disney's "Cinderella" Diamond Edition on Blu-ray, which will be released Oct. 2.
Additionally, throughout the event, Stride Rite will be inviting Moms to visit www.facebook.com/striderite to enter for a chance to win a special screening in the winner's hometown for her and 50 of her "royal court" for one of the following princess-themed pictures: "Cinderella," "Princess and the Frog," "Tangled," "Pocahontas," or "Princess Diaries," plus refreshments and limo-van transportation for up to eight friends to the screening.
