Macy's declares Dec. 11 National Believe Day

NEW YORK In its latest promotion of its "Believe" campaign, Macy's has declared Dec. 11 National Believe Day.

To promote Believe Day, in select cities, 19th Century newsboy street teams will be handing out $25 Macy's gift cards. In addition, all stores will have special mailboxes for letters to Santa. For each letter received, Macy’s will donate $1 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation up to $1 million. And, those lucky enough to be named Virginia will receive a $10 Macy's gift card, while supplies last, in honor of Virginia O'Hanlon of the famous New York Sun editorial that inspired Macy’s Believe campaign.
