Gap hears the sound of color

2/15/2008

SAN FRANCISCO If a color made a sound, what would it be? Gap is looking to find out, with a new initiative announced today that involves five musical interpretations of red, yellow, green, blue and black and white.

Composed by The Blakes, Dntel, Marie Digby, the Raveonettes and Swizz Beatz, Gap reported, each song is available for free download until March 15 at http://www.soundofcolor.com. In addition, Gap has partnered with five filmmakers to create a music video for each song, which can also be viewed on the site.

Sound of Color was developed jointly by Gap and Rehab, a San Francisco- based production company.
