  • Destination XL taps Bay Enterprise to turn stores into omnichannel DCs

    King of Prussia, Pa. -- Destination XL Group Inc. has successfully implemented eBay Enterprise ship-from store solution in more than 100 stores. An eBay Enterprise Dropship Manager client since 2012, the combined solutions give DXLG more than 200 fulfillment locations to expand product availability to its customers.

    The cloud-based eBay Enterprise ship-from store module has been deployed across the Destination XL (DXL) and Rochester Clothing stores to provide more options and choices to DXLG’s diverse customer base.

  • Tilly’s woos impulse shoppers with mobile shopping solution

    Tilly’s, a leading specialty retailer in the action sports industry selling clothing, shoes, and accessories, has enlisted visual search platform Slyce to assist it in the creation of Tilly's Snap Shop.

    The service leverages Slyce visual search technology to enable users to access the retailer’s mobile website on their smartphones, snap photos of desired items within any of Tilly's seasonal collection catalogs and purchase the item directly at the moment of impulse.

  • Dollar Tree, Family Dollar Stores get second information request from FTC

    Chesapeake, Va. -- Dollar Tree Inc. and Family Dollar Stores Inc. announced, as expected, they have received a second request for information from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission in connection with Dollar Tree's pending $8.5 billion deal to acquire Family Dollar.

    RetailMeNot, a leading marketplace for digital offers, has added Eric Korman to its board of directors.

    Korman recently served as president of Ralph Lauren's digital and global e-commerce division, where he was responsible for the company's digital businesses, marketing and operations, across all markets. In addition to leading the digital division, Korman is credited with establishing and managing Ralph Lauren's customer intelligence and experience management group, a global enterprise function supporting all global business channels.

  • J.C. Penney offers $350 million of senior notes

    Plano, Texas – J.C. Penney Company Inc. is raising capital by selling $350 million worth of senior notes due in 2019. The proceeds will mostly be used by pay off fees and expenses related to previous senior notes offering coming due in 2015, 2016 and 2017.

  • Five Below opens new distribution center in NJ to support growth

    Five Below has signed a lease for a new distribution center in Oldmans Township, New Jersey. The 1,045,000-sq.-ft. facility, located at 5 Gateway Blvd. in Pedricktown, will replace the company's existing 421,000-sq.-ft. facility located 12 miles away in New Castle, Delaware.
