    Neuhausen, Switzerland - Tyco Retail Solutions has integrated its traffic intelligence solution with RetailNext, a provider of Big Data solutions enabling retailers to monitor, analyze, and act upon shopper behavior within the store environment. This combination, which leverages Tyco's multi-sensor portfolio of traffic devices and RetailNext's in-store analytics platform, enables retailers to capture and interpret key metrics to optimize their store operations and drive sales.

  • Report: Major vendor won’t alter terms for RadioShack

    Fort Worth, Texas – RadioShack Corp. has reportedly so far been unsuccessful in its efforts to convince an unidentified ‘major vendor’ to modify a commercial agreement in a way that could benefit a financial restructuring. According to the Wall Street Journal, RadioShack still has not identified the vendor or exactly what terms it wants to restructure, but has been negotiating with wireless carriers including AT&T and Sprint to ease the terms under which the retailer is allowed to resell equipment.

  • Inditex Group deploying Checkpoint’s RFID technology in distribution centers

    Thorofare, N.J. -- Checkpoint Systems has been selected by global retailing giant Inditex Group to implement radio frequency identification (RFID) technology into its distribution centers.

    Inditex’s RFID implementation project was recently unveiled by chairman and CEO Pablo Isla at the company’s annual general meeting.

  • PayPal releases PayPal Here for Android tablets

    San Jose, Calif. – PayPal has released a version of its PayPal Here mobile payment card acceptance app and reader that is compliant with most major Android tablets. The PayPal Here service itself had previously been available for Android smartphones, but not tablets.

    The release primarily allows users of tablet-sized Android devices to now use PayPal Here to accept card payments. There are no major new features.
