  • The Body Shop launches eGift card program from CashStar

    PORTLAND, Maine -- The Body Shop launched a new earth-friendly eGift Card service powered by CashStar, a digital gifting and incentives company. Customers can now  purchase and send personalized eGift Cards to family and friends for redemption online or at any of the thousands of The Body Shop stores across the United States and Canada.
     

  • The Finish Line selects Oracle solutions to support growth strategy

    Redwood Shores, Calif. -- As part of a larger initiative to upgrade the customer experience and localize offerings in its 640 stores nationwide. The Finish Line will roll out new Oracle Retail merchandising, planning, stores and CRM solutions. The athletic-goods retailer is leveraging Oracle’s cloud computing services in the process.

    The Finish Line will use the integrated retail systems to tailor offerings to customer and regional preferences.  

  • Kate Spade New York announces new brand, new store

    New York -- Kate Spade New York said Tuesday it is unveiling a new apparel and accessories brand, Kate Spade Saturday, which will officially launch in Japan in February 2013 through e-commerce at Saturday.jp and a flagship store in Tokyo.

    The company said the brand, which is based on the spirit of Saturday seven days a week, is expected to launch exclusively online at www.saturday.com in the U.S. in spring 2013. A selection of product from the spring 2013 launch collection will be sold on fab.com prior to the U.S. launch.

  • Giftango and Burger King partner on digital gift card program

    Portland, Ore. -- Digital gift card provider Giftango Corp. announced Monday a partnership with Burger King Worldwide to launch the BK digital gift card program, which will allow customers to redeem BK Crown Cards from web-enabled mobile devices, including iOS 6 and Android phones, at participating U.S. Burger King restaurants.

    The digital gift cards – called BK eGifts – will be made available through a variety of channels including BK.com and will also be delivered through email, SMS text or Facebook wall posts.

    BURLINGTON, Mass. — E-commerce solution-provider Demandware said Monday that Pacific Sunwear of California has launched Demandware’s multichannel commerce solution, powered by the Demandware Commerce platform, across its web, mobile and tablet channels as well as its brick-and-mortar stores.

    Pacific Sunwear replaced its legacy platform with the new cloud-based platform.

  • Starbucks opens first store in India

    Mumbai -- Starbucks Coffee Co. on Friday entered its 61st country with the opening of its first store in India, in a historic building in southern Mumbai. The store is owned and operated by Tata Starbucks Limited, the 50/50 joint venture between Starbucks and Tata Global Beverages Limited. The company plans to open two additional stores in Mumbai next week before launching in New Delhi in early 2013.
