  • Stage Stores enters $350 million credit facility

    Houston - Stage Stores Inc. has entered into an amended and restated $350 million senior secured revolving credit facility that will mature on Oct. 6, 2019. The credit facility replaces the company’s former $250 million senior secured revolving credit facility, which was set to mature on June 30, 2016.

  • Havertys Q3 sales rise 3%; plans four new stores

    Atlanta - Havertys sales for the third quarter of fiscal 2014 increased 3% to $198.5 million, compared with $192.7 million for the third quarter of fiscal 2013. Same-store sales increased 3.5%.

    Havertys plans to open four new stores by the end of the year. Clarence H. Smith, chairman, president and CEO of Havertys, said sales for the quarter did not meet expectations.

  • Amazon expands seller holiday deals program worldwide

    For the first time in its history, Amazon will feature top deals from sellers on holiday deal pages worldwide. The holiday deals from sellers will now appear on the Amazon Today’s Deals page, Black Friday Store, Cyber Monday Store and many other high customer traffic site features.

  • Christopher & Banks cuts Q3 sales forecast

    Minneapolis - Christopher & Banks Corp. is cutting its sales forecast for the third quarter of fiscal 2014, based on sales trends to date for the quarter. The company believes sales have been negatively impacted by continued softness in mall traffic and lower than expected sales from its September fashion show, as the demand for fashion merchandise exceeded planned inventory levels, as well as due to late receipts associated with the West Coast port disruptions.

  • Brixmor names JLL Retail exec as VP of leasing

    New York - Brixmor Property Group, owner and operator of the largest wholly-owned portfolio of grocery-anchored shopping centers in the U.S., has named Christopher Ralph as VP leasing and will be based in Orlando, Florida. In this role, Ralph will oversee the leasing at Brixmor’s 58 community and neighborhood centers in Florida, which collectively total nine million-sq.-ft..

  • Corborn’s deploys Agilence solution to reduce shrink, improve in-store ops

    Mount Laurel, N.J. -- Agilence announced that Coborn's will deploy the Retail 20/20 exception reporting solution to reduce shrink and improve in-store operations.

  • Cypress Equities acquires Lake Pleasant Crossing

    Dallas -- Cypress Equities companies announced that Cypress Lake Pleasant, LP, a new affiliated partnership, has purchased the fee simple interest in the Lake Pleasant Crossing shopping center in Peoria, Arizona.

    Cypress previously held a ground lease interest in the property, having developed the existing shopping center and Lowe’s Home Improvement Center on the site. With the purchase, Cypress is in the process of making several upgrades to the existing center as well as planning for the second phase of development.

  • Chico's enhances omnichannel capabilities with RFID-enabled inventory accuracy tool

    Chico’s is looking to evolve its omnichannel retailing strategy, and to that end, has partnered with Tyco, a leading global provider of retail performance and security tools and technology, to address inventory accuracy and visibility challenges in 13 Soma Intimates pilot stores.

    Tyco's RFID-based Inventory Intelligence tool is designed to enable store assistants to access accurate, real-time inventory information in one place to better manage their deep merchandise assortment and to drive increased sales and shopper satisfaction, according to the company.
