  • Sprouts promotes new stores with omnichannel campaign

    Phoenix – Sprouts Farmers Market has teamed up with Nashville, Tenn.-based integrated ad agency Redpepper to use omnichannel marketing to produce market awareness and traffic for four new stores in the suburban Atlanta area. In addition to traditional outdoor, print, radio and newspaper ads, Sprouts used Facebook- and email-based marketing techniques.

  • Continued losses prompt Bebe to issue preliminary Q2 results

    Bebe has taken significant steps to refocus on the Bebe brand, to preserve cash and to gain operating efficiencies across the organization. The retailer put these measures into effect by making changes in leadership, closing its 2b division and restructuring its corporate office, including retail management.

    But the discontinuation of its 2b business, which was shut down July 5, took a bite out of the company’s second quarter, prompting the retailer to issue preliminary results.

  • Tiffany names Living Proof CEO as operations VP

    New York - Tiffany & Co. has named Jill Beraud as an executive VP, effective Oct. 13. Beraud will have responsibility for global retail operations including all sales channels in every region, as well as oversight of strategic store development and real estate.

    Beraud, 54, joins Tiffany from salon product manufacturer Living Proof where she has been CEO since 2011. Prior to that, her experience includes senior-level executive and marketing roles at PepsiCo Inc., L Brands, Inc. and The Procter & Gamble Co., among others.

    Casual apparel brand U.S. Polo Assn. has opened its first location in Brooklyn, in the vicinity of the Barclays Arena.

    Designed by Montroy Andersen DeMarco (MADGI), New York, the 2,800-sq.-ft. space has a clean, modern feel and includes  the brand’s signature ‘flag wall’ fashioned out of folded T-shirts,  a jeans island and a T-shirt island, and a 12-ft.-long cash wrap counter

  • Alco CEO out, interim CEO appointed

    Just a few days after electing a whole new board of directors, Alco announced that newly elected director Stanley B. Latacha will assume the role of interim CEO, effective immediately.

  • Dan Shoevlin named partner at UCR

    Dallas -- UCR Dallas has named Dan Shoevlin, a five-year veteran of the firm, as partner.

    Shoevlin handles such high-profile assignments as Highlands at Flower Mound in Texas, Danada Square West in Illinois, Collin Creek Shopping Center, Addison Walk, Twin Creeks Village, Woodland Plaza in Tulsa and Museum Place in Fort Worth.

    As partner, Shoevlin is charged with further growing the brokerage platform to meet the demand for institutional-quality leasing/management service in the Dallas/Fort Worth market and in other cities.
