  • Blink Fitness to debut new New Jersey club

    Lodi, N.J. -- Charter Realty & Development said that Blink Fitness will open a 20,000-sq.-ft. facility in Lodi, N.J.

    The fitness facility operator has grown to 13 locations in the New York Tri-State area, with another approximately 15 openings scheduled over the next 12 months.

     

  • Former Charming Shoppes EVP joins A&G Realty

    MELVILLE, N.Y. — Retail real estate industry executive Jonathon Graub has joined A&G Realty Partners, a leading commercial real estate, advisory and investment group, as principal. Graub will advise A&G Realty’s retail clients on strategic growth opportunities and assist with their real estate operations.

     

  • Jones Lang LaSalle names Midwest team additions

    Chicago -- Jones Lang LaSalle announced the addition of Larry Kilduff, Claire Bitautas and Anne Imming to its retail team.

    Kilduff will serve as a VP and the retail management lead in the Midwest. Bitautas and Imming will serve as VPs on the brokerage team focusing on the downtown and suburban Chicago market. In their new roles they will partner with Midwest retail market lead Mark Hunter.

  • Aaron's names new COO

    ATLANTA — Aaron's, a lease-to-own retailer specializing in the sales and lease ownership of residential furniture, consumer electronics, home appliances and accessories, has named David L. Buck as its new COO.

     

    The company’s current COO, Ken Butler, 60, will retire May 1, after 39 years. Butler will also resign from the board of directors.

     

  • SoulCycle to open at Rye Ridge Shopping Center

    Rye Ridge, N.Y. -- The Charter Realty Group said that it has arranged its second transaction on behalf of SoulCycle for a 2,350-sq.-ft. space at Rye Ridge Shopping Center, located in Rye Brook, N.Y.  

    Charter previously represented SoulCycle, an indoor fitness cycling center, in a 7,000-sq.-ft at One Fawcett Place in Greenwich, Conn.
     

     

  • Spanish restaurant to open at Suniland Shopping Center

    Pinecrest, Fla. -- Terranova Corp. said that it has signed a deal with Spanish restaurant chain 100 Montaditos to open a unit at Suniland Shopping Center, in Pinecrest, Fla.

    100 Montaditos has signed a lease for 2,500 sq. ft. in Suniland, where it is projected to open in fourth quarter 2013. It is the third deal Terranova has transacted with 100 Montaditos, which it has signed in Coral Gables’ Miracle Mile and in downtown Miami’s Vizcayne, a condo tower with ground-floor retail.
        

     

  • Bloomberg: Apple to grow aggressively in China

    New York -- A Wednesday report by Bloomberg said that Apple plans to double its number of retail stores in China over the next two years to help offset slowing growth worldwide.

  • Jones Lang LaSalle adds veteran team to brokerage group

    Dallas -- Jones Lang LaSalle announced it has added the veteran team of Robin Smith and Lance W. Taylor to its retail brokerage team, both as senior VPs and both charged with assisting the firm’s growing client base of both retailers and landlords throughout the Southwest.

    The Smith-Taylor team brings with them a two million sq.-ft. portfolio of retail assets that they currently lease on behalf of multiple owners.

    Geno Coradini leads Jones Lang LaSalle Retail for the Dallas/Southwest region.
