  • Abercrombie & Fitch names EVP stores

    New Albany, Ohio -- Abercrombie & Fitch Co. announced the promotion of Amy Zehrer to the position of EVP stores, from SVP, effective immediately.

    Zehrer has been with Abercrombie & Fitch since 1992; she joined as a manager-in-training at the brand’s Rosedale Mall location in Roseville, Minn. Over the last 21 years, Zehrer has proven herself as a definitive leader, evolving the Abercrombie & Fitch brand and playing an integral part in the success of its international expansion, the company said.

  • Insight Beverages names head of sales

    Insight Beverages has named Sharon Porter as director of national sales effective Feb. 25, 2013. 

    “As director of national sales, Sharon will lead our organization in its efforts to expand our core convenience store business, distribution and national accounts.  We are very excited to have a person of Sharon’s caliber at our company as we continue to expand our business in convenience stores and other foodservice channels,” said Bill Flack, VP sales for Insight Beverages.

  • Winick Realty named broker for Chipotle

    New York -- Winick Realty Group announced that it is exclusively representing Chipotle Mexican Grill in its leasing efforts throughout Northern New Jersey, Long Island and all five boroughs of New York City.

    The Winick team is seeking 1,600-sq.-ft. to 2,300-sq.-ft. sites in these markets. Since opening its first Manhattan location in 2003, Chipotle has grown to 60+ locations in New York City, Long Island and Northern New Jersey.

     

  • Stater Bros. names senior operations executive

    San Bernardino, Calif. -- Stater Bros. announced Monday that it has promoted Dan Meyer to EVP retail operations, charging him with oversight of retail operations for all 167 Stater Bros. supermarkets and the corporate training center.

    A 42-year veteran of the company, Meyer most recently served as SVP retail operations.

     

  • Limited CEO named CEO of Lane Bryant

    Suffern, N.Y. -- Ascena Retail Group announced that Linda Heasley has accepted the position of president and CEO of Lane Bryant effective Feb. 18. Heasley joins Lane Bryant division after six years as president and CEO of The Limited. (The Limited has announced a search for a new chief executive.)

  • Former Office Depot merch chief to head ops at retail consultancy

    CHICAGO — Hilco Trading has named Farla Efros as EVP and COO of its SD Retail Consulting unit. The move is part of the company's strategic efforts to expand the breadth and depth of its senior management team. In her new role, Efros will be responsible for the firm’s merchandising and strategy practice area.

  • Corner Bakery Café to open 16 locations in greater New York area

    Dallas -- Corner Bakery Cafe announced plans to open 16 restaurants in six counties in the greater New York City area as part of a recent multi-unit agreement with CBCWSNY. The group of restaurant operators plans to open its first restaurant in 2013 and the remaining sites over the next six years.

    Corner Bakery Cafe opened 20 new cafes and signed another 125 cafes in 2012, raising the total to 147 open cafes and 288 cafes under development, as the company moves forward on its goal to double its U.S. footprint by the end of 2015.

     

  • Sur La Table announces senior merchandising exec promotion

    Seattle -- Sur La Table said Thursday it has promoted Jacob Maurer to the position of SVP – general merchandising manager for the kitchen goods chain.

    The promotion is effective immediately, and will put Maurer in charge of all merchandise buying and product development functions for the company.
