  • EWB Development names former Coach exec as partner

    Essex, Vt. -- EWB Development announced the appointment of Daniel J. Cochran as a new partner and the head of the new Tenant Representation division at EWB.

    Cochran’s 25-year retail and outlet background includes Phillips Van Heusen – where he was SVP of real estate and legal – and Coach, where he served as SVP of real estate and construction.

  • L’Oréal appoints new VP of global skincare brand

    L’Oréal USA has named former Estée Lauder executive Angela Bennett as VP of La Roche-Posay. 

    Bennett will be charged with expanding the global skincare brand’s national retail distribution with a focus on suncare and acne consumers as well as digital programs while increasing La Roche-Posay’s support of its partnering dermatologists and retailers.

    SUNBURY, Pa. — Weis Markets announced that Gretchen Suydan has joined the company as director of marketing. The company announced the promotions of Brian Bosworth to sales director and Maria Panko to private brands manager.

  • Advance Auto drives organizational change

    ROANOKE, Va. — Advance Auto has named George Sherman president of the company as part of its effort to simplify company leadership.

    In his role as president, Sherman will be responsible for growing commercial and driving excellence throughout the company’s operations. Sherman will lead the company’s commercial sales, field operations, store operations support, merchandising, marketing, supply chain and e-commerce teams.

  • RMC Property names leasing exec

    Tampa, Fla. -- RMC Property Group said Wednesday it has named Jannie DelRio as a leasing executive, specializing in tenant representation.

    DelRio previously worked with a Tampa-based brokerage firm representing tenants such as Great Clips for Hair, Smoothie King, It’s a Grind Coffee House, Dunkin Brands, Quizno’s, Stride Ride and Papa John’s Pizza.

    At RMC, DelRio's tenant representation assignments in Southwest Florida include Bull Chicks, a Texas-based fast casual concept, and Firehouse Subs.

     

  • Food Lion manager get early wedding gift

    Food Lion store manager Charles Inman received the retailer’s highest honor this week and offered yet another example of the growth potential the retail industry offers.

    Inman joined Food Lion in 2002 as a cashier and over the years held positions of increasing responsibility, including produce manager, office manager and assistant store manager. He was later promoted to store manager and was recently selected from among a group of 1,119 store managers to receive the retailer’s Store Manager Excellence Award.

  • Great American Cookies to expand in Puerto Rico

    Atlanta -- Global Franchise Group said Wednesday it is expanding its Puerto Rican presence via a multi-unit operator.

    A.M.A. Pretzels International opened two Great American Cookies stores in Puerto Rico -- in Plaza Carolina in Carolina, and Plaza Rio Hondo in Bayamon.

    "Global Franchise Group is thrilled to have such outstanding multi-unit franchisees expand the Great American Cookies brand in Puerto Rico," said Global Franchise Group chief development officer John Barber.

     

  • Fimiani Development adds to statewide leasing team

    Boca Raton, Fla. -- Real estate development firm Fimiani Development said that it has named Lindsey Alexander and Meredith Housman as VPs of leasing for the company.
     
    Alexander and Housman will work with Simon Property Company, Kite Realty Group, Kimco and Office Depot and will focus on landlord representation as well as tenant representation.

    Alexander was previously with Woolbright Development and Housman with Equity One.
