  • Ugam releases price monitoring tool

    New York - Ugam, a provider of managed analytics technology, is releasing a Brand Intelligence solution that enables monitoring of online channel prices and enforcement of MAP (minimum advertised price) compliance, ensuring that all partners sell their products at uniform prices.

  • Retired Crate & Barrel CEO Barbara Turf dies at 71

    New York -- Barbara Turf, 71,  former CEO of Crate and Barrel, died July 12, at Evanston Hospital, of pancreatic cancer, the Chicago Tribune reported.

    Turf was named CEO in 2008, after Crate & Barrel founder and longtime chief executive Gordon Segal retired. She joined Crate and Barrel as a part-time saleswoman in 1967, moving to its corporate headquarters in 1974. Turf retired as CEO in 2012 and joined the company's board of directors, the company said in a statement.

  • RKF announces broker promotions

    New York -- RKF has announced a number of promotions for senior brokerage professionals in its New York City headquarters office. The promotions come closely on the heels of RKF’s expansion of its New York headquarters space at 521 Fifth Avenue in midtown Manhattan.

  • Einstein Bagels signs lease in Miami shopping center

    Lakewood, Colo. - Einstein Bagels has signed a lease for a 2,466-sq.-ft. store at Kendallgate Shopping Center in Miami. The retailer will take space within a freestanding retail building alongside AT&T in the Center’s plaza.

    Einstein Bagels has already begun construction at its new location and expects to open in late August 2014. Berkowitz Realty Group served as the leasing representative on behalf of the ownership group, Kendallgate Center Associates, Ltd.

     

  • Aerosoles taps former Children’s Place exec as EVP, retail

    Kevin Mead, the former SVP, director of stores for the Children's Place, has joined the senior team at Aerosoles as EVP, retail reporting directly to CEO Jules Schneider. Mead will lead the strategic direction, ongoing expansion and operations of Aerosoles retail and outlet locations.

    Aerosoles has brought in Mead to spearhead for the retail division the company’s growth strategy, following its recent partnership with Palladin Consumer Retail Partners (PCRP). 

  • Aerosoles names Children’s Place exec as head of retail

    Edison, N.J. -- Kevin Mead, the former senior VP, director of Stores for The Children's Place, has joined the senior team at Aerosoles as executive VP, retail reporting directly to CEO Jules Schneider. Mead will lead the strategic direction, ongoing expansion and operations of Aerosoles retail and outlet locations.

  • La-Z-Boy names president of retail segment

    Monroe, Mich. -- La-Z-Boy Inc. announced the promotion of Daniel King to president of the company's retail Segment. He has served as VP of La-Z-Boy's retail operations since July of 2011.

    In his new role as President, King will be responsible for all facets of the company-owned La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries stores, including sales, store operations, training and merchandising functions. The company owns 101 of the 315 stores and, in fiscal 2014 the segment recorded approximately $300 million in sales.

  • Dunkin’ Donuts signs N.C. franchise agreement

    Canton, Mass. - Dunkin' Donuts has signed a multi-unit store development agreement with new franchisees Wendover Donuts LLC to develop five restaurants in North and South Greensboro, North Carolina. The locations will incorporate traditional and combination unit development with sister brand, Baskin-Robbins, with the first store planned to open in 2015.
