  • United Commercial Realty names SVP

    DALLAS – United Commercial Realty has named Robert Luleff as SVP. Robert is well respected in retail real estate and has consistently been a top performer in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. 

    Luleff will join UCR’s retail services platform and will be instrumental in serving both the company’s institutional shopping center owner clients and 100+ national and regional retail clients.  Currently, he is handling the office product project leasing at Southlake Town Square, as well as various leasing assignments in the DFW area.

  • Home Depot centralizes in-store hiring

    New York City -- The Home Depot has streamlined its in-store hiring process by centralizing it at the corporate level, making the process more uniform across the chain. Potential store hires now go through two reviews at the corporate level before they are even granted an in-person store interview, The Atlanta-Journal Constitution reported.

  • Sport Clips signs five Philadelphia region leases

    Plymouth Meeting, Pa. -- Fameco Real Estate, L.P., announced that Sports Clips has signed five new leases in the Philadelphia region as part of its store roll-out campaign.

    In December, Sports Clips’ first area store opened at Park East Plaza in Cherry Hill, N.J. It will be followed by store openings at the Nassau Pavilion in Princeton, N.J., The Shoppes at English Village in North Wales, Pa., Providence Town Center in Collegeville, Pa., and at the Marketplace at Neshaminy, in Bensalem, Pa., in 2011. 

  • Former Claire's exec to head international business development at Children's Place

    SECAUCUS, N.J. -- The Children's Place Retail Stores has announced the appointment of James Bruce Marshall as SVP and managing director international business development, effective March 24. He will report directly to Jane Elfers, president and CEO.

  • Destination Maternity opens 10th store in the Middle East

    Philadelphia -- Destination Maternity Corp. said Wednesday that it has opened a 10th Destination Maternity store in the Middle East, this one located in Discovery Center, in Kuwait.

  • JLL executive joins Corporate Solutions practice

    Chicago -- Jones Lang LaSalle said Friday that Cedric Thurman has joined the firm’s Corporate Retail Solutions practice. As senior VP, Thurman will focus on enhancing the firm’s ability to deliver profit-enhancing strategies to meet the retail industry’s growing demand for strategic outsourced real estate services.

    Thurman is based out of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Chicago office, reporting to Lew Kornberg, managing director, Corporate Retail Solutions.

  • Wing Park Shopping Center

    Tarrytown, N.Y.-based DLC Management Corp. has launched the redevelopment of Wing Park Shopping Center in Elgin, Ill.

    DLC has pre-leased the redevelopment to a pair of anchor tenants: Walgreens has signed a 75-year lease for a 14,820-sq.-ft. prototypical store with drive-through that will be built to suit, and the existing Family Dollar will be relocating and expanding into an 8,400-sq.-ft. space. The overall redevelopment is 80% pre-leased.

  • Magnacca's role at WAG expands

    DEERFIELD, Ill. — Walgreens has expanded Joseph Magnacca's role at the drug store chain by appointing him president of daily living products and solutions.
