  • Regency Centers names leasing agent in Baltimore and New England markets

    Vienna, Va. -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said it has named Jack deVilliers as leasing agent in Baltimore, Maryland and the New England area. 

    deVilliers will be responsible for leasing 13 operating properties, totaling 1.8 million sq. ft., in Maryland, Washington, D.C., Connecticut and Massachusetts.

    Previously, deVilliers served as a retail leasing associate for commercial real estate broker KLNB Retail, handling tenant and landlord representation of new retail development projects.

  • Walmart Canada selects DiJiPOP for digital shelf space monetization

    Providence, R.I. -- DijiPOP, a leading provider of on-demand digital shopper marketing technology solutions, announced that Walmart Canada has selected the company to power the digital shelf space monetization efforts of its rapidly growing Walmart.ca online property.

    As a complement to Walmart Canada’s current advertiser program, DiJiPOP’s technology will integrate deeply with Walmart Canada’s existing proprietary vendor portal, allowing Walmart.ca vendors to reserve premium shelf space.

  • Housing challenges impact La-Z-Boy's 3Q sales

    MONROE, Mich. -- La-Z-Boy reported that sales for the third quarter declined 4.3%, partly due to ongoing challenges related to housing and consumer confidence. Net income for the fiscal 2011 third quarter was 19 cents per share, which includes a 6-cent tax benefit, versus 21 cents per share in last year's third quarter.

    The retail segment's sales increased 9.2%, and it experienced its eighth consecutive quarterly improvement of operating margin performance compared with the prior year, the company reported.

  • Coyote Management names senior leasing exec

    Addison, Texas -- Coyote Management, L.P. said that Jim Adkins has joined its management team as the new senior leasing specialist.

    Adkins will office at Lakeshore Mall in Gainesville, Ga.

    Before joining Coyote Management, Adkins was VP retail leasing for Bull Realty.

  • Long-time fashion exec to head Nine West Direct

    NEW YORK -- The Jones Group Inc. announced that it has appointed Sally Ross EVP merchandising for Nine West Direct, effective immediately. Ross' focus will be on leading the merchandise initiatives for Nine West Retail, Nine West Outlet and NineWest.com, and she will report directly to Ron Offir, President, Jones Direct Group, the company reported.

  • Consolo and Aquino awarded top honors by Prudential

    New York City -- For the fifth consecutive year, Faith Hope Consolo, chairman of Prudential Douglas Elliman's Retail Group, along with longtime partner Joseph Aquino, executive VP, was awarded Prudential Real Estate Affiliates' "Top Retail and Commercial Agent -- Highest GCI" for her group's tremendous deal volume in 2010. The two joined the firm in 2005.

    Additionally, they have been inducted into the Chairman's Circle, and honored with the coveted Diamond Award, given to the top 1% of sales professionals in the Prudential global network.

  • The Crossings at Four Corners redevelopment project breaks ground

    Smyrna, Ga. -- Westchester, Ill.-based Tri-Land Properties announced Tuesday that the redevelopment of The Crossings at Four Corners has launched in Smyrna, Ga.

    Eight acres of the project will be home to a 96,000-sq.-ft. Kroger, the company’s largest grocery store in the Atlanta market.
