  • Ulta to open at Hall Road Crossing

    Shelby Township, Mich. -- Centro Properties Group US announced that Ulta will open a 9,405-sq.-ft. store at Hall Road Crossing, located in Shelby Township, Mich.

    Centro Properties Group, based in New York City, is the owner of Hall Road Crossing.
     

  • Supervalu names president of independent business organization

    MINNEAPOLIS — Supervalu announced that it has named Leon Bergmann as president of its independent business organization, reporting to Craig Herkert, CEO and president. He replaces Mark Anderson, who will be retiring from Supervalu later this summer.

  • Charter Realty to lease Cross Roads Plaza

    Waterford, Conn. -- Westport, Conn.-based Charter Realty & Development Corp. said it has been hired by Chase Enterprises to lease the 300,000-sq.-ft. Cross Roads Plaza, located in Waterford, Conn.

    Cross Roads Plaza is anchored by Lowe’s, BJ’s, Bob’s and Regal Cinema.
     

  • Payless to open at Marlton Crossing

    Marlton, N.J. — Centro Properties Group US announced that Payless ShoeSouce will open a 3,057-sq.-ft. store at Marlton Crossing, located in Marlton, N.J.    

    Centro, based in New York City, owns the shopping center.

  • Sleep retail vet named Mattress Giant exec

    Specialty retailer Mattress Giant named industry veteran Mike Bookbinder as its new EVP merchandising and marketing. Bookbinder’s name is familiar to those in the world of sleep-related retail, as he spent 11 years with the New York-based Sleepy’s chain where he held various roles including EVP of sales and marketing. He also served as president of City Mattress in upstate New York and most recently was with mattress manufacturer King Koil where he served in a new business development role as SVP sales.

  • Levi's names SVP of wholesale for the Americas

    SAN FRANCISCO — Levi's announced that it has appointed Paul Zadoff as its new SVP wholesale commercial operations for the Americas. In this role, Zadoff will be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to drive long-term sustainable revenue growth, as well as ensuring the integration of a consistent consumer experience across the brand's wholesale commercial operation channels in the Americas.

  • Starbucks announces management changes

    Seattle -- Starbucks said Monday that it is dividing responsibilities for its business into three global regions (instead of the current two, U.S. and international) in order to accelerate global growth.

    The company has appointed three of its executives to lead the three regions: Asia; the Americas: and the combination of Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

    Cliff Burrows will expand his current role as president, Starbucks U.S. to president, Americas, with responsibility for the United States, Canada, Mexico and Latin America.

  • Former Safeway exec joins commercial brokerage firm

    Former Safeway real estate executive Dan Clayton has joined Denver-based Laramie Company as VP leasing. He previously served as real estate director at Safeway and in his new role will focus on tenant representation and project leasing.
