    Boulder, Colo. - Trader Joe’s is North America’s favorite grocery retailer based on satisfaction. A study of more than 6,200 consumers by Market Force Information, also found that Publix and Aldi were ranked second and third.

    The supermarket business has never been more competitive than it is today.   • Edible Arrangements names CVS marketing head as president

    Wallingford, Conn. - Robert Price, former senior VP and chief marketing officer for CVS/pharmacy, has been named president of Edible Arrangements LLC. At CVS/pharmacy, Price led all marketing, advertising, sales promotion, e-commerce, customer insights, store design and customer loyalty programs.

    Prior to CVS/pharmacy, Price's held positions with Wawa Food Markets; H-E-B Grocery Stores; Imasco Limited (the former parent company of Hardees and Roy Rogers Restaurants); and The Monitor Company, a strategy consulting firm.

  • Topco Associates taps CPG veteran as VP, marketing

    Topco Associates has appointed Linda Severin as VP, marketing. Severin will report directly to Topco president and CEO Randy Skoda.

    “Linda brings a wealth of knowledge in branding and marketing to Topco that will benefit all our members,” Skoda said. “She has built and developed successful private label brands for industry leaders, and we are confident she will drive competitive advantage for our products and strong results for our members in their retail stores.”

    Colloquy's research reveals that the familiar gold, silver and bronze tiering system no longer works. The study shows the three-tiered structure is outdated as a way for brands to keep their customers engaged — sometimes creating confusion rather than inspiring loyalty.
