    North Bergen. N.J. - Vitamin Shoppe Inc. hired David M. Kastin as senior VP, general counsel and corporate secretary effective Aug. 17. Kastin will be responsible for overseeing all internal and external legal matters of the company and will serve as corporate secretary to Vitamin Shoppe's board of directors.

    New York – Worthy.com, an online marketplace for used luxury goods, has named Gil Gadot as executive VP and COO.

    Gadot joins Worthy with more than 20 years of experience in finance and technology.

  • Lowe’s Canada names retail vet to oversee supply chain

    Toronto -- Lowe's Canada announced the appointment of Gregor Stuart to the new position of VP, supply chain, effective July 27.

    Gregor joins Lowe's Canada with over 25 years of supply chain and logistics experience in the retail industry. He has held various senior roles with prominent Canadian retailers including Loblaw Companies Limited, The Bargain! Shop, Hudson's Bay Company, Canadian Tire Corporation LTD and National Grocers Co.

    City of Commerce, Calif. - 99 Cents Only Stores LLC has named Jack L. Sinclair as chief merchandising officer. Sinclair will be responsible for merchandising and marketing functions.

  • Report: Amazon gets the fashion picture in U.K.

    Seattle – Amazon.com is always trying to improve its overseas operations, and now the e-commerce titan is “getting the picture” in the U.K. market. According to TechCrunch, Amazon has opened a 46,000-sq.-ft. photography studio in London.
