Meet Walmart’s oldest employee

New York -- He very well may be the oldest employee in the United States. And Walmart has him.



Loren Wade recently celebrated his 103rd birthday. The World War II veteran, who joined Walmart post retirement in 1983, works five days a week in the lawn and garden department at Walmart’s store in Winfield, Kansas. Well known and admired by his customers and coworkers alike, the octogenerian has no plans to return to retirement any time soon.



In honor of Wade's birthday and military service, Walmart is donating $125,000 to the Friends of the National World War II Memorial.
