  • Coyote names exec

    Addison, Texas -- Coyote Management said Thursday it has named Jim Adkins senior leasing specialist for the company.

    Adkins will operate out of the company’s Lakeshore Mall in Gainesville, Ga.
     

  • NRF makes management changes to focus on strategic plan

    WASHINGTON -- The National Retail Federation announced that it has promoted Carleen Kohut, who has served as NRF SVP and CFO for the past ten years, to COO, as part of board-approved restructuring plan. Additionally, Susan Newman, VP conferences, has been promoted to SVP conferences and Mike Gatti, formerly SVP communications, has been named SVP member relations.

  • Sears names head of Kenmore, Craftsman and DieHard brands

    HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. -- Sears Holdings announced that as part of the continuing transformation of the company, Scott Freidheim has been appointed EVP, president Kenmore, Craftsman and DieHard.

    "Scott is a strong leader who will heighten our focus on our Kenmore, Craftsman and Diehard brands," said Bruce Johnson, interim CEO and president of Sears Holdings. "I believe he will be a tremendous asset to this business as we drive new ideas forward."    

  • Report: Walmart reaches deal with New York City construction union

    New York City -- Walmart has reached a deal in principle with the Building and Construction Trades Council of Greater New York, Crain’s New York Business reported. The agreement guarantees union workers will construct or renovate any stores that the chain opens in the city during the next five years, Crain’s New York reported.

    The agreement is a win for Walmart, which has faced tough opposition from unions in New York City.

    SAN FRANCISCO -- Gap Inc. has announced a series of significant management and organizational changes at Gap brand designed to drive more consistent results in North America and to provide a new and dynamic creative leadership structure that will deliver sustainable global growth. The changes are effective immediately.

  • HSN names digital commerce head

    ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- HSN announced that Jill Braff has been appointed EVP digital commerce effective Feb. 7. Braff will report directly to Mindy Grossman, CEO of HSN Inc.

    In her new position, Braff will oversee HSN's existing e-commerce, mobile and social media platforms. In addition, she will manage the development and implementation of new multi-platform initiatives. HSN's e-commerce, digital marketing, merchandising and advanced services teams will report to Braff.

  • Hot Topic divisional chief resigns

    City of Industry, Calif. -- Hot Topic said Monday that Chris Daniel, president of the company’s plus-size Torrid division, has resigned effective April 29.

    The company has named Betsy McLaughlin as interim head of Torrid upon Daniel’s departure, and said it will conduct an outside search for a permanent replacement.
