  • SAP opens café/innovation space March 19

    Palo Alto, Calif. – SAP is opening HanaHaus, a new cafe and community workspace that aims to foster a culture of technology innovation, on March 19. Located in Palo Alto, California, HanaHaus seeks to become a central hub of activity that supports new thinking and entrepreneurial energy.

  • Arby’s names operations VP as new COO

    Atlanta - Arby's Restaurant Group Inc. (ARG) is promoting John Bowie, senior VP of operations, to COO, reporting to Paul Brown, CEO. The promotion was announced as George Condos, ARG president and COO, announced his retirement.  

    Bowie will assume responsibilities as COO on March 30, at which point Condos will continue on through the end of the year as a consultant for Arby's.

  • Dick’s Last Resort to open first Ohio location

    Columbus, Ohio - Nationwide Realty Investors has announced that Nashville, Tennessee-based Dick’s Last Resort will open its first Ohio location in the Arena District in summer 2015. Dick’s Last Resort will occupy 7,300-sq.-ft. in the first floor of a building adjacent to Nationwide Arena and will include an outdoor patio with seating for more than 130 people

  • Survey: Consumers love iPhone, Apple and retail

    Mountain View, Calif. – Move over mom, baseball and apple pie. The new three things everyone loves are iPhone, Apple and retail.

    According to a new survey of global English-speaking consumers in 84 countries, the “NetBase Brand Passion Report,” iPhone is the most-loved brand in the world. Apple comes in at number three. And retail and Apple dominate the rest of the top 10 brands, which are Etsy (4th), iPad (5th), MacBook Air (6th), Starbucks (7th), Chipotle (9th) and McDonald’s (10th).

  • A trio of tenants opens as part of phase two of MarketStreet Lynnfield

    Boston -- Co-developers WS Development and National Development announced the openings of the first three businesses in phase two of MarketStreet Lynnfield, located in Lynnfield, Massachusetts. Tuck’s Candy Factory opened in February , followed by Hanna Andersson and Gap, scheduled to open the week of March 9.

    “We have had an incredible response from the community since we opened nearly 20 months ago,” said Nanci Horn, general manager of MarketStreet Lynnfield.  

  • Caruso names senior exec over strategic alliances and entertainment

    Los Angeles -- Caruso Affiliated announced the appointment of Steven Martin to senior VP, strategic alliances & entertainment. Martin will oversee client sponsorships, large-scale entertainment events, brand activations, and new business development across Caruso Affiliated’s portfolio.  He will report to chief marketing and communications officer Judy Johnson.

  • First Martha Stewart Café opening in New York

    New York - Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia is opening its first Martha Stewart Cafe, in the Starrett-Lehigh building, home to Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia's corporate headquarters. The cafe will offer handcrafted espresso beverages and teas.

    The menu, personally curated by Martha Stewart, will serve hot beverages, cold-brew iced coffee, artisanal loose-leaf teas, and pastries. The cafe is partnering with Kobrick Coffee, a New York City-based and family-owned roaster, and Wei Bertram of Connecticut-based Arogya Tea,

  • Baker Katz acquires former Baytown Seafood site

    Houston -- Baker Katz, an X Team International partner and full-service commercial real estate brokerage firm, announced the acquisition of the former Baytown Seafood establishment situated on 30,000 sq. ft. of land in Houston.

    The property is located at the cross streets of I-10 East and Haden Road. Baker Katz plans to demolish the current building to construct an 8,000-sq.-ft. building occupied by a combination of restaurant and retail tenants.
