    Bay Shore, N.Y. -- MIA Concessions has deployed advanged digital signage in Miami International Airport’s (MIA)) South Terminal in the form of bilingual digital passenger assistants.   The technology, from Tensator, provides passengers with high-tech virtual shopping consultants and also serves as an advertising vehicle for shops and restaurants to reach high multi-lingual air travelers to Miami.

    Las Vegas -- Cushman & Wakefield | Commerce has been awarded the leasing assignment for Pawn Plaza in Las Vegas, Nevada. The new retail project will be located along Las Vegas Boulevard next to the World-Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, which is featured on cable channel History’s No. 1 show, “Pawn Stars.”  
  • Celebration Pointe begins construction on bridge

    Gainesville, Fla. -- Celebration Pointe has begun site work on a five-lane, $12 million bridge that will span Interstate 75. Celebration Pointe partner Ralph Contimade the announcement.  
  • OpenTable mobile payments launch in Washington, D.C.

    San Francisco –- The Pay with OpenTable mobile payment service from online reservation provider OpenTable, a subsidiary of The Priceline Group, is now available in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. To pay with OpenTable, diners who book at participating restaurants add a credit card in the OpenTable iPhone app before they dine and can then view and pay their check with a few taps.

  • McDonald’s launches omnichannel informational effort

    Oak Brook, Ill. -- McDonald’s USA will answer questions from customers through a multichannel effort called “Our Food. Your Questions.” The company invites people to submit their food questions via social media.    McDonald’s will respond with behind-the-scenes webisodes and other social content that provides facts on ingredients, how food is made and how it’s prepared in restaurants.
