The nation’s leading bridal retailer is joining with YouTube in a new life as a live streaming content promoter.

David’s Bridal is launching a new channel on the YouTube Live livestream platform that offers around-the-clock wedding planning content and inspiration, including real wedding videos. The channel houses a catalog of free, accessible, and diverse content submitted by real couples, photographers, and vendors. The retailer will continuously refresh the channel with relevant videos and content for 24/7 access.

This new streaming channel is the latest addition to the growing suite of digital wedding planning tools and resources offered by David's Bridal. Other solutions include its “Zoey” AI-based customer service chatbot, virtual appointments (with video option), and augmented reality (AR)-based shopping. In addition, David’s Bridal acquired digital wedding planning platform Rustic Wedding Chic in October 2020.

Although the channel does not include any e-commerce functionality, livestreaming is becoming an increasingly popular digital shopping format. Nordstrom and Walmart are just two prominent retailers who have participated in livestream shopping in recent months.

"This, literally, is a 24-hour-a-day video channel full of love, joy, beauty, families, friends, and happiness. The videos are real couples, real photographers, real venues, real vendors, real forever-afters. We were thrilled with the outpouring of videos sent to us for our launch," said Kelly Cook, chief marketing & IT officer at David's Bridal. "Featuring real wedding videos allows us to foster a community of inspiration filled with magical moments to guide today's couples."

David’s Bridal operates more than 300 stores located across the U.S., Canada, U.K., and franchise locations in Mexico.
