A regional fast-food chain is enabling a seamless, connected store experience for associates and customers.

Alabama-based Jack’s Family Restaurants, which operates 280 stores in five Southern states, is expanding an initial deployment of the Par Technology Punchh loyalty platform to adopt the Par POS and payment platforms as well as the Par hardware suite, which includes POS and kitchen display devices, chainwide.

By unifying these disparate in-store software and hardware systems on a single platform, Jack’s Family Restaurants seeks to simplify operations and eliminate vendor integration issues. In addition, the retailer felt that Par POS offered reliable, durable and intuitive payments and hardware services that could perform during its busiest rush periods.

"As we plan for our next phase of growth, it was critical to partner with a technology provider that could scale with our ambitions while staying easy for our teams to use," said Chris Incorvati, CTO of Jack’s Family Restaurants. "Par’s modern platform simplifies operations, improves payment experiences, and strengthens our loyalty strategy, positioning us to consistently deliver outstanding guest service as we expand."

In under nine months, working with Par Jack’s Family Restaurants executed one of its largest technology transformations to date. Par served as a single vendor to plan, coordinate and implement the multi-product rollout across roughly 300 locations; deploying seven to nine stores overnight each week with what the retailer says was minimal operational disruption.

"Jack’s represents exactly the kind of brand we want to partner with — one that pairs ambitious growth with an unwavering focus on guests and teams," said Savneet Singh, CEO of Par Technology. "A unified technology stack gives Jack’s the foundation to scale efficiently while preserving service quality, and we’re excited to help power experiences that build lasting guest loyalty."

Papa Johns bolsters in-store tech with AI platforms

One of the nation’s largest pizza chains is also deploying Par technology to strengthen its in-store capabilities. Papa Johns is rolling out the Par POS and Par OPS platforms at its U.S. restaurants to build a "faster, more intelligent and connected" restaurant and digital ordering experience for guests, operators and franchisees.

Papa Johns will transition from its legacy on-premise systems to Par’s enterprise solutions. Par POS and Par OPS will bring front-of-house ordering, make-line operations, above-restaurant management, as well as AI-powered labor, inventory and restaurant management on one platform. The retailer plans to integrate Par’s enterprise solutions with its standard store technology configuration, which it says will reduce deployment costs.
