A pizza retailer with innovative crust is teaming with a leading on-demand delivery platform to revamp its online ordering experience.

Hungry Howie’s, which originated flavored crust pizza, is partnering with DoorDash in a wide-ranging effort to rebuild its website and native mobile app, introduce an upgraded loyalty program, and help consolidate its technology stack to support operations across all direct digital channels.

As part of the collaboration, Hungry Howie's will invest in its owned digital channels with the goals of making digital ordering easier, faster, and more intuitive with a more streamlined ordering flow, easier navigation and checkout, improved mobile usability, stronger loyalty integration, and customer sentiment tracking, while maintaining a consistent experience across all digital touchpoints.

In addition, the retailer will enhance its search engine optimization and digital listings management capabilities in an effort to help it appear more prominently and consistently across search platforms.

Hungry Howie's will also introduce a new loyalty program supported by DoorDash and set to launch in 2027, designed to let customers earn and redeem rewards across relevant ordering channels. The retailer will deploy the DoorDash Guest Experience Management (GEM) solution to unify online and in-app reviews, customer feedback and surveys.

DoorDash will support Hungry Howie's owned channels while also maintaining the pizza retailer’s presence on the DoorDash app.

"We're strategically partnering with DoorDash because they offer more than just delivery,” said Steve Jackson, CEO of Hungry Howie's. “They give us an enterprise grade platform to modernize our ordering experience, drive digital sales growth, strengthen our connection with customers, and support our franchisees with one unified system. It's a meaningful step in how we show up for our customers, both online and at the door."

The rollout will happen in phases, starting Monday, July 13, 2026, with select locations based on customer location and market readiness. Hungry Howie's expects all locations to be fully transitioned to the new DoorDash-supported platform by the second quarter 2027.

As part of this partnership, Hungry Howie's is also leveraging the DoorDash Commerce Platform to simplify its online customer experience technology stack and create a scalable foundation for long-term digital growth. In other modernization efforts, the retailer is deploying Toast restaurant POS terminals and kitchen display systems, as well as the vendor’s multi-location management and payment processing solutions.
