Harmons, Sprouts, Rosauers enhance e-commerce with Instacart

Three independent supermarket chains are deploying a custom solution for digital grocery retailing.

Harmons Grocery, Rosauers Supermarkets and Sprouts Farmers Market are all rolling out or upgrading to Instacart Storefront Pro. Utah-based upscale supermarket chain Harmons Grocery and Northwest grocer Rossauers Supermarkets are implementing Storefront Pro for the first time, while fresh, natural and organic foods grocer Sprouts Farmers Markets is upgrading to the latest version.

These deployments follow an upgrade to the latest version of Storefront Pro from the Storefront solution by regional California and Nevada grocer The Save Mart Companies, which also rolled out the Instacart Caper Carts and FoodStorm solutions in April 2024.

Instacart users have also been able to take advantage of the Sprouts store loyalty program when they shop via the Instacart app and website since August 2024.

"Storefront Pro will allow us to grow and monetize our digital presence with features that are offered, like the ability to build a customizable homepage and merchandising layouts, a fully branded mobile app to support customers in-store and at-home, and access to Carrot Ads to support our retailer media network."

Harmons Grocery, which started as a single fruit stand in 1932 and now has more than 4,000 employees and 20 stores located throughout Utah. Rosauers serves the Inland Pacific Northwest, with over 20 stores located throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. Sprouts Farmers Market operates more than 415 stores in 23 states nationwide.
