eBay offers free returns on auto parts and accessories
eBay is giving buyers of auto parts and accessories additional confidence to make purchases.
The online giant, which offers more than 700 million auto parts and accessories, is now offering free returns for qualifying purchases of these products. If a return is necessary, customers can print a free shipping label and schedule a pickup or dropoff to send the item back for a refund.
eBay says it offers accelerated auto parts refund processing, including the option to receive an eBay credit to resume shopping. This offering builds on eBay Guaranteed Fit, which launched in 2023 and provides a green "Fits" compatibility checkmark on select auto parts and accessories listings to help customers determine whether the part will fit their specific vehicle.,

"Buying a vehicle part online can feel like guesswork, but free returns let buyers purchase a part and easily send it back if it’s not right," said Neil Sethi, director of U.S. commercial operations, parts & accessories at eBay. "We’re removing extra costs and uncertainty, so shoppers can tackle their vehicle projects with assurance, every time."
eBay Motors revs its engines
eBay Motors, which the e-commerce giant launched as a separate mobile app in December 2019, has been adding new features and capabilities since that time. In July 2025, the retailer debuted a new solution called Secure Purchase that manages payment, financing, registration, ownership transfer, and transport for vehicle transactions in one unified experience.
In 2023, eBay provided a larger selection of searchable tire inventory and included seamless booking for the tire installation service it first introduced in 2017 and expanded in partnership with CarAdvise in 2019.
Other examples include the previous acquisition of myFitment, a provider of tools and support to assist online automotive and powersports parts and accessories sellers, as well as an interface called “My Garage” that lets automotive shoppers upload their vehicle’s make and model to discover corresponding parts and accessories.
All automotive parts and accessories listed on the eBay online marketplace are available for purchase in the eBay Motors app.
Founded in 1995 in San Jose, Calif., eBay enabled more than $73 billion of gross merchandise volume in 2023.
