    The retailer has expanded its assortment beyond home décor to include everyday staples and an extensive selection of more than 70,000 products, an increase of almost 10-fold. Shoppers can now also expect everyday free shipping on orders over $49.

  • Wayfair shrinks net loss in Q4

    Boston-based online home furnishings retailer Wayfair Inc. managed to shrink its net loss in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2015 while other financial results soared.

    Wayfair reported net loss of $15.49 million, down from $72.55 million in the same quarter a year earlier. Growth in cost of goods sold, operating expenses and other costs did not match the rate of revenue growth. Net revenue increased 81% to $739.79 million, from $408.62 million.

    Wayfair Inc. is launching a feature called the One-Stop Flooring Shop, designed to offer customers a single destination for managing and completing home flooring projects. One-Stop Flooring Shop includes a broad assortment flooring materials and tiles. In addition, the service provides access to a dedicated flooring concierge team and a national network of pre-screened contractors.
