  • Target launches sustainable product line

    Minneapolis -- Target Corp. is introducing “Made to Matter – Handpicked by Target.” The collection brings together 17 natural, organic and sustainable brands to introduce new products.

  • Interbrand report: Walmart most valuable retail brand in the world

    Dayton, Ohio – Walmart is the most valuable retail brand in North America, with a brand value estimated at $131.8 billion, according to Interbrand's "Best Retail Brands" report. The retail powerhouse maintains its number one spot and, even with a 6% decline in brand value, it retains an enormous margin over its closest competitor Target, whose brand value is put at $27.1 billion, an 8% increase over 2013.

  • A big week for data security

    There were a lot of developments in the world of data security last week with a judge agreeing to consolidate lawsuits related to the Target data breach in a Minnesota court, more hearings in Washington, D.C. and troubling research about consumers sharing personal data on public Wi-Fi.

  • Target lawsuits consolidated in Minnesota

    Minneapolis – All lawsuits relating to the 2013 data breach at Target Corp. will be consolidated before a single court in Minnesota. The U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation has assigned all data breach suits to be heard by U.S. District Judge Paul Magnuson in Minnesota.

  • Target adds travel products in store

    Long time Target supplier J.L. Childress said six of its products were added to Target’s in store travel assortment.

    The products are geared toward parents of babies and young children and include variety of bags to simplify life for on the go parents with infants and young children in tow. J.L. Childress has items available for sale on the Target website, however, the new products carried in the stores are unique and not available online, according to the company.

  • Nxt-ID to release biometric smart wallet

    Shelton, Conn. – Nxt-ID Inc. intends to launch a smart wallet called Wocket. A biometrically secure smart wallet with a smart card that is immediately zeroized after each transaction, Wocket is designed to be useless to a thief.

  • Inland acquires Mokena Marketplace in Mokena, Ill.

    Oak Brook, Ill. — Inland Real Estate Corporation has announced the acquisition of Mokena Marketplace in Mokena, Ill., an affluent suburb located within the Chicago metropolitan area for $13.7 million in cash.

  • Target to open store in Westwood, Mass.

    Minneapolis -- Target announced plans to open a store in Westwood, Mass., opening in March 2015.

    The 135,000-sq.-ft. store will be part of the new University Station development. It will be the 26th Target store in the Boston area.
