  • California grocer’s educates customers at the shelf’s edge

    Raley’s is helping its customers make more informed food purchasing decisions in-store and online.   Called the Raley’s Shelf Guide, the program features icon-based shelf tags that educate shoppers about current food trends and industry research — and also sets stricter standards for packaged food claims. Overall, the service is creating label transparency when it comes to helping customers understand packaged goods’ ingredients, food processing and nutritional value.  
  • Supermarket retailer promotes COO

    Raley’s has given COO Keith Knopf the additional title of president.   Raleys owner & CEO, Michael Teel announced the promotion of Knopf, who joined the company nearly two years ago, around the time Teel took majority ownership of the company. Teel will continue to direct the development of Raley’s overall strategic plan.  
  • California grocer to open new natural foods format

    Raley’s will unveil a new natural foods grocery store concept in spring 2017.   Called Market 5-ONE-5, the new format will debut in downtown Sacramento, Calif., and is described as a farmer’s market concept, with fresh products delivered daily. It will be operated independently of Raley’s, according to The Sacramento Bee. A press release about the new store quoted Raley’s CEO Michael Teel, but identified him only as “owner.”  
  • Raley’s ‘Park’ gets OK from Sacramento planners

    Raley’s, the Northern Californian grocery chain, got one step closer to its vision to build a neighborhood “hub” in Sacramento.   According to a report in the Sacramento Bee, the city’s Planning and Design Commission voted 12-to-1 to approve the chain’s plans for “The Park,” a 108,000-sq.-ft. open-air center ringed by a metal canopy and featuring large store windows and shrub-filled “green screens.”

    Regional grocer Raley’s Supermarkets is upgrading its omnichannel customer experience with an eye toward mobile convenience and personalized service.

    West Sacramento, California-based Raley’s, which operates 122 stores under four banners in California and Nevada, is launching a new e-commerce platform called E-Cart. Based on technology from Unata, E-Cart includes features that aid the web, mobile and in-store shopping experience.

  • Raley’s relaunches e-commerce with Unata

    Sacramento, Calif. - Raley’s Supermarkets is relaunching its e-commerce offering using technology from Unata. Raley’s will leverage Unata capabilities to deliver functionality including one-to-one experiences across all e-commerce elements from homepage to search.

    In addition, product updates will enhance the click and collect functionality, which allows Raley’s customers to pick up items they ordered online in-store.
