    San Francisco - OpenTable, a provider of online restaurant reservations and part of The Priceline Group is making its Pay with OpenTable mobile payments feature available for Android. To pay with OpenTable, diners who book at participating restaurants add a credit card in the OpenTable Android app before they dine and can then view and pay their check with a few taps.

  • OpenTable kicks off 20-city expansion in New York

In addition to its new launch in New York City, OpenTable plans to expand its mobile payments presence in San Francisco, home to its mobile payment pilot which launched in February 2014, and to roll out the feature across the nation by introducing it in 20 cities before the end of 2014.

    Norwalk, Conn. — The Priceline Group Inc. and online restaurant reservation service OpenTable Inc. have entered into a definitive agreement whereby The Priceline Group will acquire OpenTable for $103 per share in an all cash transaction valued at $2.6 billion. OpenTable will continue to be headquartered in San Francisco and will operate as an independent business led by its current management team within The Priceline Group.
