Lowes’ new Click & Collect customer experience will include a one-to-one personalized homepage and personalized product recommendations across the shopping experience.

  • Raley's, Aisle50 team up to offer loyalty-technology program

    Supermarket chain Raley's is teaming up with a web portal that offers discounts to members of the chain's loyalty card program.

    Aisle50 announced the partnership with the California-based chain, which will offer it at all its 120 Raley's Bel Air and Nob Hill Foods locations. Aisle50 works by allowing customers to purchase items online and then pick them up in the store, receiving discounts using their loyalty cards.

    MATTHEWS, N.C. — Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic supermarket chain, Harris Teeter, reported that sales for the first quarter of fiscal 2013 increased by 3.7% to $1.16 billion from $1.12 billion in the first quarter of fiscal 2012. The increase in sales was driven by an increase in comparable-store sales of 2.53% and sales from new stores, partially offset by store closings.

  • Harris Teeter and Lowe’s in store swap

    Charlotte, N.C. -- Harris Teeter Supermarkets entered into an agreement with Lowe’s Food Stores whereby Harris Teeter will acquire 10 Lowes locations in the central Carolinas region and Lowes Foods acquiring six Harris Teeter store locations in western North Carolina.

    In addition to the six Harris Teeter stores, Harris Teeter has agreed to pay Lowes Foods $26.5 million. The transaction is expected to be completed in the company’s third quarter of fiscal 2012, which ends July 1, 2012.

    Charlotte, N.C. -- Crosland has announced new openings and tenant signings at various third-party managed and leased retail centers throughout the Charlotte, N.C., area.

    Ruby’s Gift opened a 1,323-sq.-ft. store at Colony Shops in early December, the retailer’s third Charlotte location.

    Om Spa Chiropractic & Wellness is relocating its business from The Arlington to the newly renovated The Villa shopping center, and is slated to open the 3,048-sq.-ft. facility in January.
