  • Cedar Shopping Centers acquires Colonial Commons for $49.1 million

    Port Washington, N.Y. -- Cedar Shopping Centers said Tuesday it has closed on the acquisition of Colonial Commons in Lower Paxton Township, Pa. The property was purchased for approximately $49.1 million from affiliates of Centro Properties Group.

    The 487,000-sq.-ft. shopping center covers approximately 37 acres, is 93% leased and is anchored by Giant Food Stores. Other tenants include Dick's Sporting Goods, L.A. Fitness, Ross Dress For Less, Marshalls, JoAnn Fabrics and David's Furniture.

  • Dick’s Sporting Goods selects price management provider

    ROSEVILLE, Calif. -- Revionics a provider in retail life cycle price optimization solutions, announced that Dick’s Sporting Goods has selected Revionics as their price management provider. Revionics will provide Dick’s with its Everyday Price Management and Markdown solution, which includes Revionics’ category planning tools, weekly price maintenance capabilities, and science-based clearance price solution across all channels

  • Anthropologie to open at Town Center Plaza

    Kansas City, Kan. -- Beachwood, Ohio-based Developers Diversified Realty Corp. said that Anthropologie will open an 11,202-sq.-ft. store at Town Center Plaza, a 626,000-sq.-ft. lifestyle center located in Leawood, Kan.

    The new store is slated to open this summer.

    In 2010 at Town Center Plaza, Victoria's Secret relocated and expanded to a new 7,200-sq.-ft. prototype store, Bath & Body Works expanded into a 3,267-sq.-ft. space, and The Limited executed an agreement to open a 4,595-sq.-ft. store in the spring.

  • Hawthorn Hills Square launches redevelopment

    Vernon Hills, Ill. -- Beachwood, Ohio-based Chase Properties announced that Hawthorn Hills Square in Vernon Hills, Ill., is being redeveloped to coincide with the opening of Dick's Sporting Goods (December 2010) and PetSmart and Five Below that are expected to open in the spring. Additionally, Noodles will be opening a new freestanding restaurant at the center in the fall.

  • Tuesday Morning to open at Village Crossing, Chicago

    Niles, Ill. -- Tuesday Morning has signed a lease for 20,000 sq. ft. at Village Crossing in Niles, Ill., a North Shore suburb of Chicago.

    According to Oakbrook Terrace-based Mid-America Asset Management, the exclusive leasing representative for the center, Tuesday Morning plans to open in January 2011 as a new anchor, joining Dick’s Sporting Goods, Jewel/Osco and Pier 1 Imports.

  • Dick's Sporting Goods Q3 profit falls

    Pittsburgh -- Dick’s Sporting Goods’ net income for the quarter ended Oct. 30 dropped to $16.9 million, compared with net income of $18.9 million for the year-ago period.

    Sales rose 9% to $1.08 billion, from $990 million.

    Same-store sales increased 5.1%, with a 3.8% increase in Dick’s Sporting Goods stores, a 2.4% increase in Golf Galaxy and an 82.4% increase in e-commerce.

  • Dick’s Sporting Goods opens at The Fountains

    Beachwood, Ohio -- Developers Diversified Realty Corp. announced the opening of Dick's Sporting Goods at The Fountains, a completely redeveloped 477,343-sq.-ft. community shopping center located in Plantation, Fla.

    Dick's Sporting Goods joins Kohl's, which opened in 2009, as one of the first new tenants at the redeveloped center. In addition, Jo-Ann fabric and craft stores will open a 20,000-sq.-ft. store and Lime Fresh Mexican Grill will open a 2,160-sq.-ft. restaurant early in 2011. The center also features Marshalls and HomeGoods and is 93% leased.
