  • Dick's Sporting Goods to open at Esplanade Shopping Center

    Oxnard, Calif. -- Centro Properties Group US announced that Dick’s Sporting Goods will open a new 44,166-sq.-ft. store at Esplanade Shopping Center, located in Oxnard, Calif.

    Esplanade Shopping Center is owned by Centro Properties, based in New York City.

     

  • Dick’s maintains expansion amid cautious profit view

    PITTSBURGH — The combination of new store growth, a 2.5% same-store sales increase and expanding gross margins enabled Dick’s Sporting Good to produce earnings per share of 52 cents and exceed analysts’ estimates by two cents. However, a cautious outlook regarding the future caused the company’s third quarter profit forecast to be two cents less than analysts forecast, and same-store sales were projected to grow in the low single digits.

  • Charming Charlie to open at Geneva Commons

    Chicago -- Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.-based Mid-America Asset Management said that Charming Charlie will open an 8,650-sq.-ft. store at Geneva Commons, in Geneva, Ill., a western suburb of Chicago.

    The new store is slated to open summer 2011 in the 437,650-sq.-ft. lifestyle center, joining a recently opened Sephora, which debuted a 3,909-sq.-ft. store in the center.

    Geneva Commons is anchored by Dick’s Sporting Goods, Barnes & Noble, Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn, H & M, Anthropologie and more.
     

  • Coyote and Garrison acquire Chapel Hills Mall

    Colorado Springs, Colo. -- Addison, Texas-based Coyote Management L.P. and Garrison Investment Group, through their affiliates, have acquired Chapel Hills Mall, located in Colorado Springs, Colo.

    Chapel Hills Mall is a 1.2 million-sq.-ft. enclosed super-regional mall anchored by Dillard’s, J.C. Penney, Macy’s, Sears, Dicks Sporting Goods and Burlington Coat Factory, and features a 15-screen Carmike Cinema and over 100 specialty stores.

  • Dick's Sporting Goods opens 10th Alabama location

    Pittsburgh -- Dick’s Sporting Goods announced Tuesday that it will celebrate the grand opening of its tenth Alabama store, which opened at Jubilee Square in Daphne, Ala.

    The chain’s celebration, spanning June 3-5, will feature appearances by college and professional football players and a professional bass angler, as well as a variety of giveaways.
     

  • Dick's Sporting Goods opens in former Fortunoff location

    White Plains, N.Y. -- SRS Real Estate Partners announced Tuesday that Dick’s Sporting Goods has leased 58,750 sq. ft. at “The Source” in White Plains, N.Y.

    The Dick’s Sporting Goods lease represents the first step of the redevelopment of the former Fortunoff store, directly adjacent to The Westchester Mall. “The Source” is also occupied by Whole Foods Market, The Cheesecake Factory, Morton’s, Destination Maternity and a planned Raymour & Flanigan.

    The new store opened in April.
