  • Dick’s Sporting Goods to Western, Pa.’s Monroeville Mall

    Chattanooga, Tenn. — Dick’s Sporting Goods is moving across the street from the periphery of the Monroeville Mall in Monroeville, Pa., into the mall, according to CBL & Associates Properties, the mall’s owner. The existing Dick’s Sporting Goods will remain open until the new store completes construction. Plans call for a grand opening this summer.

  • Sears subleases with Dick’s Sporting Goods at King of Prussia Mall

    Hoffman Estates, Ill. – Sears Holdings has signed a sublease with Dick's Sporting Goods to occupy a portion of its second floor at the King of Prussia Mall in King of Prussia, Pa. The two-story anchor building will be renovated with Sears maintaining exterior entrances on both levels and the mall entrance on level one.  

  • Mayfaire Community Center in Wilmington, N.C., signs two anchors

    Wilmington, N.C. — Dick’s Sporting Goods and Marshalls will anchor Phase II of the 203,000-sq.-ft. Mayfaire Community Center in the master-planned 400-acre mixed-use community of Mayfaire in Wilmington, N.C. Harris Teeter anchors Phase I of the center.

  • Study: Nordstrom is consumers’ favorite fashion retailer

    Boulder, Colo. -- Nordstrom is North America’s overall favorite fashion retailer for the second consecutive time, according to a new study of more than 6,800 consumers conducted by Market Force Information (Market Force), a provider of customer intelligence solutions.

    Kohl’s is the most visited for casual clothing, business attire and children’s clothing, while Dick’s Sporting Goods won out for sports apparel and DSW for footwear.

  • Dick’s net income inches down By Dan Berthiaume

    Pittsburgh -- Sales growth fueled in part by the opening of 25 new branded stores did not prevent Dick’s Sporting Goods from reporting a slight decline in net income during the third quarter of fiscal 2013. Net income totaled about $50 million, down incrementally from $50.1 million a year earlier.

    Net sales totaled $1.4 billion, up 7% from $1.31 billion. Consolidated same-store sales rose 0.3%, beating company estimates of a 2-3% decline.

  • Selective pricing initiatives help drive Dick’s Sporting Goods in Q3

    Dick’s Sporting Goods said marketing efforts, improved customer experience and selective pricing initiatives in the third quarter helped traffic which resulted in net sales of $1.4 billion for the quarter, an increase of 6.7% compared to the year-ago period.

  • Four new tenants sign into Glen Town Center

    Chicago — Four new tenants have joined the Glen Town Center in Glenview, Ill., according to CBRE, the broker in the transaction.

    Fast-casual burger chain MOOYAH made the center its 60th location in a roll-out with the goal of 100 restaurants by 2014. Pinot’s Palette, a national paint and sip franchise, is opening its third Illinois location and 48th overall. Mingle Juice is the third new tenant. Finally, The Curragh Tradition Irish Pub will make Glen Town Center its fourth location.

    Pittsburgh – Dick’s Sporting Goods and ESPN have entered a multi-year agreement in which Dick’s will serve as the exclusive e-commerce provider of licensed merchandise and sporting goods on ESPN.com and related digital properties.
