  • RadioShack bolsters leadership as Q3 loss widens

    RadioShack posted a net loss of $112 million during the third quarter of fiscal 2013, compared to a net loss of $47 million in the year-ago period. It was the retailer’s seventh straight quarter posting a net loss.

    The company also named Paul Rutenis, formerly senior VP, general merchandising manager for the home division of J.C. Penney Company, as its new chief merchant.

  • Dick’s Sporting Goods opens new Texas store

    Pittsburgh – Dick’s Sporting Goods opens a new store in Corpus Christi, Texas, on Nov. 1. The Corpus Christi location will be the retailer's 21st store in the state of Texas and its 549th nationwide.

  • Dick’s Sporting Goods opens new Missouri store Nov. 1

    Pittsburgh – Dick’s Sporting Goods is opening a new store in Osage Beach, Mo., on Nov. 1. The Osage beach location will be the retailer's 12th store in the state of Missouri and its 551st nationwide.

    “We look forward to opening our new Dick's Sporting Goods in Osage Beach, becoming part of the community and serving athletes of all ages by providing them the equipment they need to excel," said Lauren Hobart, senior VP & chief marketing officer, Dick’s Sporting Goods.

     

  • Dick’s Sporting Goods to open second Field & Stream location

    Pittsburgh – Dick’s Sporting Good will open its second Field & Stream specialty store in November, in Crescent Springs, Ky. Earlier this week, Dick’s said it plans to grow Field & Stream to approximately 55 locations and $750 million in sales by the end of fiscal 2017.

    In addition to outdoor merchandise, the Field & Stream store will provide professional services for archery equipment, fishing gear, and firearms, among other goods.

  • Dick’s grand-opens three new stores

    Pittsburgh -- Dick’s Sporting Goods grand-opened three new stores on Friday, bringing the total store count to 541 in the U.S.

    The chain opened a store in Redding, Wash., at the Redding Hilltop Center, its 30th store in the state of Washington. A new opening in Victorville, Calif., at The Mall of Victor Valley, marks the 31st Dick’s store in California.

    And in Kansas, at the Midstate Plaza in Salina, Dick’s opened its eighth store in the state.

     

  • DDR announces completion of third quarter transactions

    Beachwood, Ohio — DDR Corp. has announced the closing of its previously announce acquisition activity totaling $591 million. The acquisitions include a portfolio of seven prime power centers in a newly-formed joint venture with an affiliate of Blackstone Real Estate Partners VII L.P. for $332 million in August and two market dominant regional power centers in Orlando, Fla. and Atlanta, Ga., for an aggregate $259 million in July.

  • Dick’s Sporting Goods opens three stores

    Pittsburgh – Dick’s Sporting Goods is opening three new stores. The stores are located at the Lakeshore Mall in Gainesville, Ga., the Epps Bridge Center in Athens, Ga., and a remodeled store in Leawood, Kan.

  • Dick’s to unveil remodeled store in Cary, N.C.

    Pittsburgh -- Dick’s Sporting Goods will open its newly renovated store in Cary, N.C., on Sept. 29, featuring 56,000 sq. ft. of specialized services and experiential elements such as a golf simulator, club fitting center, putting green, archery lane with an on-site bow technician, and bike safety inspections, custom fittings, tune-ups and assembly.
