Pittsburgh -- American Eagle Outfitters said Tuesday that its debut store in Israel will open on Thursday at Ramat Aviv Mall, in Tel Aviv.

Ten additional locations are planned over the next month, in locations such as The Big Mall in Petach Tikva, Kiryat Ono Mall, and Mall of Haifa. The franchise stores will be operated by Fox-Wizel Ltd., a leading retailer and wholesaler in the region.

Dallas -- GTM Development, a limited partnership created by The MGHerring Group and Cencor Realty Services, said it has completed the acquisition of Golden Triangle Mall in Denton, Texas.

MGHerring will be responsible for the redevelopment of the 765,000-sq.-ft. Golden Triangle Mall, which will begin in early 2012 with a grand reopening slated for next fall.

Cencor manages the mall while MGHerring and The Weitzman Group, Cencor’s brokerage affiliate, jointly lease the property.

Scarsdale, N.Y. -- Dallas-based SRS Real Estate Partners said that Athleta, a division of Gap, has signed a lease for 5,833 sq. ft. to build and operate one of its first suburban stores in New York at Vernon Hills Shopping Center in Scarsdale/Eastchester, N.Y.

A spring 2012 opening is planned.

Pittsburgh -- American Eagle Outfitters reported Wednesday that sales for the quarter ended Oct. 29 rose 11% to $832 million, compared with $752 million in the year-ago period.

Same-store sales increased 5% for the quarter, following a 1% rise for the same period last year.

By banner, American Eagle posted a 5% comp increase and Aerie comps surged 8%.

Orlando, Fla. -- Boston-based The Wilder Cos. said that Bealls will open a new department store at Loop West, located in the southern portion of the Orlando, Fla., market.

Loop West, along with adjacent center The Loop, make up an 840,000-sq.-ft. shopping complex housing 14 specialty anchors and 55 shops, services and eateries. Anchors include Kohl’s, J.C. Penney, TJ Maxx, Bed Bath & Beyond, DSW Shoes, Regal Cinema and more.

Santa Clara, Calif. -- Nearly half (48%) of retailers do not offer product ratings or reviews on their website, according to a survey by CrossView, a provider of cross-channel commerce solutions.

Pittsburgh — American Eagle Outfitters net income more than doubled as the company cut costs to offset a sales decline. Net income for the three months ended April 30 rose to $28.3 million from $10.9 million last year. Its results met analyst expectations.

Revenue decreasded 6% to $609.6 million,less than expected. Same-store sales fell 8%.

New York -- American Eagle Outfitters Inc. officially announced the retirement of its chief executive officer. The chain, which has seen its seen sales falter of late, also posted a 47% rise in profits for the fourth quarter on cost-cutting.

American Eagle said its CEO James O'Donnell, 70, will stay with the retailer until a successor is chosen and will work through the transition period. O'Donnell started with American Eagle as its COO in 2000. He became co-CEO in 2002 and CEO in 2003.
