AE to launch new children's line, 77kids

PITTSBURGH American Eagle Outfitters today reported that it is launching a new children's apparel line, 77kids by american eagle.

The line will debut online at www.77kids.com later this year, AE reported, with brick-and-mortar stores in the U.S. planned for 2009. The company added this is its first online-only launch of a brand.

“77kids is a natural fit for American Eagle,” said Jim O’Donnell, ceo of American Eagle Outfitters. “We’re leveraging the AEO expertise and best practices to create something new, incremental and exciting for customers.”
