  • Which online retailers satisfies the most?

    When it comes to making online customers happy, one well-known name stands at the top.

    Fourth quarter data from the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) shows Amazon.com led all online retailers with a score of 83.out of 100. Compared to the prior year, overall Internet retail customer satisfaction slipped 2.4% to a score of 80 out of 100. This still leads all other retail categories in the Index.

  • Baker Katz acquires 30,000 sq. ft. of land in Houston

    Houston -- Baker Katz, an X Team International partner and full-service commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in retail tenant representation, investment sales, and project development and leasing, announced that it has purchased 30,000 sq. ft. of land in Houston and completed a 7,000-sq.-ft. lease on behalf of Advance Auto Parts. Construction will slated to begin this month with an opening in May 2016.

    Boss Facility Services announced the addition of Keith Powers, who will focus on the addition of national accounts specifically in the preventative maintenance and R&M space for HVAC, lighting, general repair and janitorial sectors.

    Powers brings a diverse sales background to his new job, having worked in varying industries, most recently serving as regional eServices/eCommerce manager for Advance Auto Parts in which he was responsible for increasing multiple revenue streams.

  • Sears Holdings makes big moves on home front

    Sears holdings has made a key acquisition to bolster its connected home effort and named a new executive to lead its home service division.

    The retailer said it hired former Best Buy executive Sean Skelley as president of its Home Services division. Skelley spent 20 years at Best Buy but most recently served as senior VP of service solutions for Asurion, global provider of device protection and support services for smartphones, tablets, consumer electronics and appliances.

  • Advance Auto Parts shifts into high financial gear

    Roanoke, Va. – Advance Auto Parts Inc. is shifting into high gear when it comes to finance. The retailer has been selected to join the prestigious Standard & Poor’s (S&P) 500 stock index at the close of business July 8, replacing Family Dollar Stores Inc.

    Roanoke, Va. - Advance Auto Parts Inc. has selected Teradata as the vendor of choice for its Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).

    Advance Auto Parts will leverage the EDW to aggregate data from multiple sources to perform advanced analytics and help drive the business.

    The new Teradata platform at Advance includes testing as well as production and will leverage the Teradata Americas Data Migration Center of Expertise
