Tuesday Morning elects new board member
Jim Wade, who has 35 years of experience in retail, is the newest member of closeout retailer Tuesday Morning’s board of directors. Wade will be part of the board’s audit committee.
“We welcome Jim to the Tuesday Morning board of directors, where his retail, logistics and operational experience will be highly complementary to the board's ongoing work,” board chairman Steven Becker said. “In particular, his integral role establishing Advance Auto Parts as a leading customer service-focused organization carries important lessons for Tuesday Morning, and we look forward to benefiting from his expertise."
Wade, whose early career involved a management role at department store company S.H. Heironimus, also serves on Advance Auto Parts’ board of directors and its finance committee. He has been on the board since 1994 when he joined as its treasurer. At the time, the auto parts distributor had about 300 stores.
Wade eventually retired as the board president in 2011, a role in which he had a hand in Advance Auto Parts’ store operations. By then the company had 5,200 stores and $9.3 billion in revenue.
In addition to Advance Auto Parts and Tuesday Morning, Wade is a member of hardwood retailer Lumber Liquidators’ board of directors, and works with various education and nonprofit boards.
